Premium Member TIME AND MEMORY

May we be blessed understand this lesson
that from my grandpa’s lips was taught…
How time moves in only one direction
but how our memory…does not.

Premium Member Locked In

Turned head;
Forever paused;
Locked in one direction.
Cannot take my eyes, heart, and head
of you.

Trepidation

Mind races endlessly

Need decision now

Only one direction possible

Possibilities endless

Quorum of the mind, heart, soul, and gut is hung on the moment.

Premium Member DAILY GRATITUDE MY MEMORY

I am grateful for my memory…
grateful, over the years, for all the memories I have caught…
and grateful that, although time moves in only one direction,
my memory does not.

Live Your Dream

Live your dream
By Michelle Morris
27/07/2020

Life moves in one direction -
It stops for no one,
without exception;
So unless you have a
time machine,
make time for your life;
Live your dream.

Jack 60

With less and less affection
It can only move in one direction

Every time she cries
A little more trust dies

Outwardly not much shows
But inside she already knows

Ignorance isn’t bliss
When sealing lies with a kiss

Premium Member Arrow - Septolet

Time is an arrow
                   moving one direction

Premium Member An Absolute Knowing

they are keenly felt
you have a knowing without knowing how you know
an absolute surety of purpose now

a clear understanding without words
you are being guided
steered steadily in one direction

you do not have to see them
to know they are there

Premium Member Sound of Siren

Sirens in more than one direction.
First responders
My soul quiets as I listen
They seem close then further away
As they leave I feel my breath leaving
And I realize I have been holding it.
I relax for a few minutes until the next siren
Perils of living in a city

Trapped In Entropy

Going from the past to the future
Is a theoretical abstract
There’s no timeless reason we can’t go
From the future to the past
Our perception trapped in entropy
Keeps the order one direction
Our search for meaning stacked upon
—a theory not to last

Spot On, Harry

Harry Styles from One Direction has corrected a fan's punctuation...

Harry Styles is really great
He knows how to punctuate
And he learnt to spell at school
Harry, man, you're really cool
Better read than Harry Potter
A rarer breed, a comma spotter
Tell us, Harry, in your pop
What’s the point of a full stop?

The Heart - the Whirlpool

Various perceptions afloat in a sea of thought,
Ideas and thoughts independent;
Emotions swayed in random movement,
Yet all in one direction advance
By a force unseen and cohesive.
Feelings creating moods;
Moods that scream and insist on action.
Imaginations stirring reactions to every thought
Which give birth to consequences.

The One Way Ticket

The chosen destination was not much frequented
-the man at the box office told me-
Except for people going in one direction.
I know.
But this ticket takes me where they will ask no questions.
where people in difficulties freely reside.
Anyway.
It´s my election.
Take me just there, because
I have no time nor strength to go farther.

Tire Marks

Tire marks-

the tires sunk deep on the soft soil
I walked on the raised mound
guiding the grass and dirt

into the tire thread mark
one direction
and then coming back

squishing the soil on the other side
to where it belonged
a few more times

in a few days
the grass will heal the wounds
and nobody will ever know he was here

Life's a Beach

The sands of a person's life
flow in one direction... only one,
and no one can be certain of
how much sand is given to each person.
Live as if each grain
is the only one given to you,
for when that grain is gone
only memories will exist.
So make your life overflow
with those precious grains of sand,
for one day the sands of life...
will flow no more.

Premium Member One With Nature

One direction to go, to find The way to become one with nature In ways that you can’t imagine You find nature right under your butt And it’s sickening, disgusting To know what just happened, I’m leaving Going to places with toilets And I’ll be completely sanitized No more being one with nature My direction will be a bathroom

Janus Awakens

Janus opens the door after a long sleep
And looks through the gate of the past,
Now says farewell to all that’s been done
Until turning his head to the future,
And walks in one direction for all to follow.
Restart has begun and it’s now a new
Year, and Janus can once again sleep.

Humanity Is the Ultimate Ethnicity

Humanity is the ultimate ethnicity
I don't care were you are from
I cry for the world
Who is to guide us
Truly all in one direction
I wonder to yonder
Which other way
Humans needs to go
If we forbid just a little
Kindnesses
Just a little kindness
can make a change
Just a little care
Can hear a soul
Just a little
Is not much
And we can start
To build a new world
For our soul benefit
Once again

Five guys from England have a hit song on the charts. This catchy tune has won the admiration of many hearts. Everywhere I go, I can hear the song out loud. For having a popular tune, they must be quite proud. “What Makes You Beautiful” is heard everywhere I go. It has a great melody and lyrics so many fans know. Listening to your song brings a lot of happiness. Kudos to you men for your recent success.

Blasted By Waves of Fire

The clock moves in one direction
as we search for something
amidst the canyons
of our metropolis
All the dawns you have known
    have vanished
into
     Dark, black, night
We believe that light will
filter in
   We're hoping that it will
praying that it will
To continue our search
      we nedd warmth
and sunbeams - which will alow our tired eyes to find
what we are seeking
   here in the asphalt homeland

Life's Pathways

We are born once,
We die once,
And we have no choice.

 But,
From birth to death,
There are million pathways
To choose from—

Straight,
Meandering,
Uphill,
Downhill.
Paths chosen by others,
Or paths we choose ourselves.

Whatever path we choose,
Our lives will be decided.

Be involved in the journey
Immerse yourself in the scenery
Because time marches quickly
In one direction-----
The future

Premium Member Upright Position

As sun slowly climbs,
so is my wish to leave
      this bed of agony.
In shadows dust gathers
   on rims, wheels,
      between unwebbed toes motionless.
Water flows in one direction,
   thoughts run rampant
      everywhere.
Body fails to manage
   upright position
      ninety degree angle.
Sprawled flat,
   a hateful situation
if it lasts for too long.

Life's Road

The driving rain pounds fiercely upon the windshield
As my eyes strain to look into the face of tomorrow
Only being able to see what is right in front of me
I push on down this road hoping for a glimmer of light

My tank approaches E as a ray of light breaks through
This road is only in one direction so it’s to there, I go
Hoping to free myself from the rain and get refilled
I come to the destination, where I am then replenished

Premium Member Love All I Want

Walking in one direction
Running into dead ends
Closed off to communication
Nothing is heard
No way to start a conversation
Endless loop talking to myself
Realize I’m just talking to emptiness

Coldness flows over my head
Crushing down
On my beating heart
Nothing is left

Wanting her warmth
I’m so Cold
Just wanting to feel her wrapped around me
Keeping me warm with love
It’s all I want
Love it’s what I want
It’s all
