has gone from bad to
worse

sense gone
where has all the communication
gone
what a crazy world....
what has happened to
compromise
what a crazy world....
My girlfriend goes off the deep end
Each night before bed until dawn
Yakety Yak as I lie on my back
Just trying to stifle a yawn
She complains and tries to explain
And still I don't know what to say
Oh what a quandary, her dirty laundry
Keeps piling up higher each day
I implore, can't take anymore
This burden of yakety Yak
I'm really quite bored, so please help me Lord
To get this load off of my back
One cup of coffee.
Do I want breakfast?
Not yet. Second cup of coffee maybe.
I am still not pleasant.
I can feel my growly face.
I had better have a third cup.
If someone speaks to me
I might go off the deep end.
I am not ready to be sociable or nice yet.
My husband tiptoes in,
sees my face,
and turns back around.
He knows I am still in the “gnawing your legs off”
frame of mind this morning.
He and the dog both read me well.
Addicted? Who me?
Could stop any time
One cup a day?
Would do me just fine
Aside from the shakes
Freaking out now and then
Craving that fix
Going off the deep end
Trust me I'm fine
Not being deceitful
Shakes aren't a problem
'Cept threading a needle
But I'll have to admit
Some lives have been ruined
Caffeine's the nemesis
Cut down on the brewin'
Whoever discovered it
Was a downright putz
To cause so much grief
With one li'l ole cup!

Isn’t sleep supposed to be restful?
Isn’t sleep supposed to be calm?
Sleep is a time my mind goes off the deep end, replaying like a broken record.
Sleep is a time the panic and anxiety creep in, startling me awake.
Being abruptly awakened by such intense anxiety, feeling nauseous but like you're being choked at the same time.
The alarm doesn’t come fast enough yet too fast all at once. Body and mind still drained.
Will the calm of sleep ever find me?
Restless,
Senseless,
What's the way to test this?
Make it
Go away;
Never come another day.
What can I do
For myself?
I need someone to come and help.
What can I do?
I do not have a clue.
Somebody please fix this thing
That I am going through.
I don't know what I did wrong;
This thing was waiting all along.
I started this game,
But I can't win.
I dove off the deep end;
I can't swim.
Something cries inside of me;
Someone come and set it free.
