Stop

Another car passes
Water in the distance
Some frozen over for winter
Others still open icy water
A bridge
The water's edge
So close yet so far
Adrenaline races and my mind picks up the pace
Stop
Stop
Stop
My inner mind echos
I can't stop
I'm like dynamite lit from both ends
Help me
Stop me
It doesn't work
I dive off the deep end
In an instant
I'm gone.

Jessie Melanson July 17, 2018 at 2:14 PM Very strong poem. Sometimes the feelings we feel are so overwhelming that sometimes we want to do anything to stop them. This poem reflects a lot of feelings I felt growing up. But it gets better, I never believed it when I was going through things. But now I believe and so should you.
