Fall Around Corner
Fall not due this part of the planet
leaves changing I'd just take for granted
stepped outside for fresh air
around corner was a snare
fell over a rake and I crash landed.

Premium Member As We Grow
As I grow older
I grow colder
but also bolder
not due to insufficiency of too quickly passing time
but just the opposite,
a growing feeling that time invites our multiculturing sufficiency
necessary for suppressing younger monoculturing addictions....

Premium Member Death
Noose of death tightens
and heart’s load lightens,
not due to despair
but since we’re aware.

Bliss beats rise, we burn
but now it’s death’s turn
to reclaim its own,
feeling love home grown.

Each moment reborn,
consciousness sings on,
frolicking about
free from fear and doubt.

  "Tick Tock"
  Says the clock,
  Forever on the wall.
  Further comments are not due.
  "Tick Tock"
  Says the clock,
  To me and you.
  A new language to share.
  "Tick Tock"
  Says the clock,
  Waving two hands,
  Slowly in the air.
  " Tick Tock"
  Says the clock,
  To end a busy day.
  Put away toys,
  On a full play day!...

Anticipation
A Post! A Post! Anticipating response
             Approval yearning--Acceptance burning--
Who will send a line to quench this churning?
A sharpened line will not due
nor a circle that does not lead back to U.
A hint of intimacy--makes this heart glow
Who will send a line to anchor this soul?...

Beginning Again
a mourning dove
mourned not
for me
but
for the morning
sun to
come

the sun it
seems
stuck
on
the horizon
can't
rise

it's not due
to super
glue
but
painfully
for you
and me

and so the moon
in the green
room
is
told to
come
back

an encore to say
at least
to day
put
your hands
together
to plaud

lets slip back in
into the night
into
our sheets
to sleep
hold me...

The Darkest Hour
There was no light at the end of the tunnel.
There was no tunnel.
Only the vast emptiness that filled my heart.

There was loneliness to keep me company,
Self-hate to direct my path,
But no way out.

Death will not due.
Righteousness is out of reach.
Where then, is my escape?

In my darkest hour I cried,
‘I am tired, I have failed, let me rest!’
To the unyielding abyss,
My will I surrender.

My light is out....

Premium Member Night Sounds At Campsite
Night Sounds At Campsite Written: by Miracle Man February 10, 2021 Night sounds heard around our campfire, Sounds from darkness beyond our campsite. I’d often hear the swish of a nocturnal flier, a sound that always gave a young boy fright. Not due to loneliness did the coyote howl, but it sent out a message to me-beware. Nor did I understand the answering Owl, who gave a hoot but didn’t really care.

A teeter-totter of the pair

All saying
Goodness is not all good.
Good things should be acceptable.
Not being good is not due to badness.

Badness is not all bad.
Bad things should be atrocious.
Not being wicked is not goodness.

A duel of Love and Happiness,
Root for either one.
Which side is jumping higher?
Clap, clap, cheer, cheer.

I'd stand by the latter
'cause of no shadow to follow....

Impromptu
the lettuce
is wilting
let us pray
for salad days

but
so said by Shaw
about gardens
and god

he's in the ground
but digging a bed
isn't the same
as a grave

so she was sown
from seed to sprout
now an heirloom
with an older tune

but still blue bells
toll in a breeze
they toll not for you
not due at least

another season to greet
spring up with the sun
drink down the rain
summer's slumbers

never one to complain
never one to distain
caffeine laughing
Zia Romaine...
