    Never been to Norway
        nor to Finland or Sweden

After all, my wife Eve and I
        left the Garden of Eden

                                         clouds become heavy
a complex rhythm of the rain -
                                          my beloved sleeps

Swimming In Norway

Climate warming is bunkum some say. But I wonder what happened one day, when a stark naked horde swam and splashed in a fjord in mid-winter in balmy Norway.

Premium Member What Wood Am I

Many housing builders fight over me.
My reddish wood is beautiful to see.
I have more than one common name.
Growing one hundred feet is my fame.
One of my names starts with Norway.
Can you name my other name today?

The Butterfly Effect

Pink and blue in May
A hurricane in Norway
Wing’s careless flutter –
A pure disaster
Violently violet
You adorned my way
So yellow in June
Be careful, my little one.
Haven’t you heard of
Catastrophes you have done?

Nidaros Cathedral -Burns Stanza

Founded at Trondheim in Sox-Trondelag county, Norway
Built 1300 AD in a beautiful country
Example of Romanesque and Gothic style gently
Great tourist attraction
National prize with many noble gentry
Fine spiritual traction

Premium Member Decluttering

Such clutter in my mind by the end of the day
I want it all to just go away...

The violence ringing out around the globe
The screams and the shouts in my earlobes...

~ Time for a dip in a shower, cool as Norway...

Whale

She swims the salty seas
Crashing into the surface through leaves
Taking Captain Ahab down with her as he heaves

Destroying her predators ships along the way
He will no longer be found in Norway
She’s moving on to a less crowded bay

Thinking of you.
As always.
It’s the most beautiful
Movement my mind makes.

My favourite apparition,
Peaceful, secret,
My eyes fall into the ocean.

I hope you will always be
As relentless as the sea
That stretches between
Us now.

Norway Four - I

Norway’s nice this time of year
Or so I hear.
They show me snow, great glass lakes,
Ice laced mornings…
I picture your coat, scarf, brilliant eyes
And the air’s cold kiss on your face.
Breathe for me for a while, look for
Our dancing lights in the sky.

A Country Destroyed

A Country destroyed

And all nations
Want their fair share.
France
Britain
USA
Israel
Norway
Poland
Want their lucre.
That is why
Kaddafi
Was handed over
To the murderous thugs
Of Bengasi
Who killed him?
And now we have ISIS.
Could it be the oil?

Norway Four - Iii

A thousand words could decorate
Each mile that separates us,
And a thousand more could never
Replicate the world you make for me.

I’ll always offer more than words,
So you will always be aware
That I love the very bones of you;
I love their white ferocious snow.

Premium Member It Is So Him

The young man sits handsomely
Enjoying his perch in all ways
High above the cool foamy waters
Showing off his love of Norway

We laugh when we receive the photo
It is so “him”; captures his personality.
He will never change, we tell his dad.
I hope not, he replies.

Norway

Norway is on my bucket list
blonde haired beauties I want to kiss
I must go to “Norwegian Wood”
everyone says I really should
but first I must land in Oslo
hope to watch the aurora glow
I will have to try some Rakfisk
that sounds much better than Lutefisk

Norway Four - Iv

You’re home.
Well.

For me, home hardly ever happens here;
Only with you.
A spinning head calms and falls level,
Thoughts align and travel peacefully;
Their lines quiet with a stilled grandeur
Which only you can deliver.

I wait for the day when you come

Home

To me.

A Starry Winter's Night

Stars
twinkling
in the skies
above Norway
on a winter’s night
entertain stargazers
(circumspect of the weather)
observing the phenomena,
who embed memories in their minds
for recollection when in pensive moods.

Premium Member Norways Dangerous ice Beauty

Norway’s ice folded onto himself
a white blue beauty
a monstrous diamond
near melting frigid waters
as our boat glided past
I thought of the Titanic
how one iceberg caused the deaths of many
you are gorgeous, I admitted to the silent beauty
but dastardly, dangerous and deadly

Premium Member Hammock Thermal-Dynamic

Danny just loved to while the time away
Couldn't be bothered to see where he stayed
   In his hammock relaxed
   His brain not overtaxed
Fell deep asleep -- froze to death in Norway

the wish

The wish

After Greenland, will Norway be
the next target
the borders with Russia that make
 the night white
an irrational fire a demand
for a lasting peace
eternity shared with brothers
when hatred
will be unknown
The oceans undulate calmly
the light we see
are heavenly stars
