Underworld

Sijo-5

one day accidentally, I stepped into the way which
laying in the gruesome air that leads to the netherworld
the chill and soundless world no one ever been there has returned

heaven
                 angelic, glorious,
          rejoicing, ascending, lifting
 empyrean, blissful, hades, netherworld
     condemning, descending, flaming
               damned, miserable
                           hell

this netherworld
this hospice of broken souls
this travesty of triumph’s trauma
blank pages
telling stories
sightless readers
sifting the ash
of scorched lives
charred character
seeking solace

Cold Autumn Motionless

In the soak of the rain
Church bells chime
and the lichen covers gravestones
There is not much change in the touch of needle
Silence falls between the leaves
belonging to the netherworld
of coldness cussing down winding roads
like false hope aching to the core
of lose faltering teasing your skin
Lodgements if only we could

Cryptic Ways

careless hands roaming ways lost in wisps purple haze cryptic days secret nights southern daze northern lights careless hands restless feet half not whole incomplete rambling round cubic curled resident netherworld careless hands roving eyes purposes in disguise broken hearts no repair sans remorse without care

What is that? I asked.
This is certainly experimental.

Since it's of the netherworld,
can't be sentimental.

Try not to be judgmental.
This will be time consuming,
perhaps a lot of work,
nothing gentle, or accidental.

It's strictly mental.

I have a feeling
the outcome
could be argue-mental,

might even be
              detrimental.

Naive, I just wander-
      nameless voices c a l l i n g,
  Nebulous vague faces,
         need c r y i n g out for me . . .
Necropolis of TOMBS-
     netherworld abyss . . . pearl
            necklace ripped from my neck.

Premium Member Her Kittenish Personality Illuminated a Room

She had a kittenish personality; always ready to play.
Her sense of whimsy and hunky-dory attitude was contagious.
Her laugh would have brought happiness to the Netherworld.
He was smitten from the second they met. Wanted more.
Unfortunately, she was already taken and committed.
This did not mean he stopped noticing her.
She elucidated a room, illuminating it with joy.

Laughter For Now and the Hereafter

Wearing nothing but rags
We laugh and sail on the seas of the netherworld
Without flags

With iron nails
The lamb laughed on the cross's world
Without wails

With gaffe
Against seas whirled
Laugh

Some souls laughed at their rags
Laughed when they entered heaven's world
Laugh

Premium Member what if the sun never rose?

Listen to poem:
the morn never came
the sun denied to arise
defied its duty
to say good-bye to hiding
veiled below the horizon

an early bird rose
but if the sun never rose
what would such a bird
do to kill time while on pause
in the darkness scorned forlorn

too soon the cock crowed
the birds sang their dawn chorus
sang again again
in vain for the sun slept-in
hung-over in netherworld

Erratically-tossed sequins
Mark the places of night's stadium -
A netherworld of colored stones
For the spry flights of cherubim -

And Jehovah - madman or genius -
   I cannot quite discern -
Overlays time upon us
   And I'm a lowly spectator.

One angel keeps an amethyst -
   Ignoring an agate - then ruby;
I do wonder if by chance
   There's a rock somewhere for me ...

Exile

Leaving the reality behind;
the bounds of gravity
life itself became just an after-life;
a netherworld of existence,
a spirit world of flesh,
a wasteland of bones,
an ossuary of dreams,
a necropolis of emotions.
For my soul yearns for you,
who live among the clouds,
high above the ribbons of sunlight.
For you, my love
I would choose to leave;
to exile from this verisimilitude.

The Afterdark

Hell.
Where the air is stagnant and choking.
The abyss, the lake and the black hole.
The eternal sleep happens here in sheol.
Purgatory, limbo, hades and the netherworld.
Whatever you want to call this waste land.
He can take you in your sleep.
You never know when your last moments may be.
He prays on you.
Oops, I mean preys.
He whispers your name from the deep.
Perpetual annihilation.

Has Our Time Come

When Our Time Has Come

Is it Sweet Dreams or Sweet Nightmares
And Can We Tell

As Who's the Hunter Or the most Hunted
Or Maybe It's just Who is Wanted

Up Here, Down There, Who Really Cares
As it's Just Another Flight of Stairs

Up Or Down, Which Way to Go
None Of Us really Knows

And Where Do we All Eventually Dwell
As I For One just Can't Tell
If There Is a Heaven

But I do believe there is a Netherworld

DAMO

Alcoholism

An opened fifth of hangovers rests beside his dried driveled arm (drug used by underachievers.) Out cold, head resting on forearm Unconscious in a dreamless world, a portal often frequented: an alcoholics netherworld and mind most disoriented. A parched throat forces arousal And miasmic exhalations rekindle once more pitiful repeated, inebriation. A morning swig begins his day and ends the same as yesterday.

Deception

The Deception
Beware!
Her arms around my neck were cold
that was because they were artificial
her eyes shone like a diamond in the sun
yet with a hint of moonlight serenade
and her lips like a damp vulva.
Was she an angel
And imp
Or from the netherworld
A Russian spy
A robot
An Israeli honey trap
A failed suicide bomber
I felt my way perhaps her vagina
was a guillotine
I will not complain
 still got nine fingers left
