Who understood when all is said and done…
the main purpose of freedom
is to create it for everyone
In History, Nelson fought the Spanish
This powerful Armada did vanish
My ancestor was in thrall
Kismet Hardy had a ball
No invasion, the infidels, banished

likes to play music for fun
he doesn’t need money for his family to feed
but as a sideline he developed his own brand of weed
Did Nelson give one scintilla
about France’s silly flotilla?
No! Nor was he bashful at court,
though of the quite gaseous sort,

Weeping on its knees.
Murmuring students
Hold tears, someone

The university mourns.
Death, why in our abundance
Is your harvest so rich?

Poem Would Prepare
When each poem I started to prepare,
Them with others had wanted to share;
After ink dried,
Then provide;
Some salt on poem was able to spare.
Remember when he had asked Lord Nelson
to pass the salt in Master and Commander.
