My next door neighbour
was killed in a gas explosion.
On his tombstone

sorrow hugs my heart
fall’s breath rancid with her jeers
my esteemed neighbour
battles winter’s icy fog
to bring a fancy xmas card
The wife can interpret wet dreams
(The neighbours all knew that, it seems)
They all think its grand
That she'll lend an hand
Whilst teenagers research X-tremes
My neighbour out searching for conkers
Is blessed with incredible honkers
But when she bends down
All the housewives frown
Where to look drives their husband bonkers!
Towering weeds out of control
The unkempt garden has completely taken over

VALENTINE
A man lived on the floor just above
A neighbour he thought he could love
Passing her by on the stair
He could only stare
And his jealous wife gave him a shove
Dining amongst the Pakistani friends of my neighbour.
Hearing them speaking in their Urdu tongues as all turns to a blur.
