"Nay," I say.
I am a sayer of nay.
"A naysayer," you say.
You see I say "nay."
And "nay," you say.
And to that,
I
Say
"Nay."...

The Fusspot
I once needed a lawyer,
for the problem I had with my employer
the promises made
were all a masquerade
dim lawyer, turned out to be a naysayer...

Sparkle Fish
The sparkle fish had a little wish.
He wanted to swim without a swish.
That’s not possible the naysayer said.
But he did it after practicing in his head....

An Incredible Discovery
His was an incredible discovery; a phenomenal breakthrough.

The Expected
"The Expected"
The writing was on the wall
the eraser like a sparkler
annihilated every naysayer
words not required
for such a blind date
He da main player
records kept
for reviewing later

Bills Purple Cow
Farmer Bill was bragging about his purple cow all the time.
If he has a purple cow, a naysayer said, I will pay a dollar and a dime.
Better pay up then, I told him, and the cow’s horns are a weird lime.
He also wears bells on his head, and they whistle, and they chime....

Uncle Lee eats Pudding for Supper
chocolate pudding for supper? Sure why not?
Shhh.....Differing opinions are not sought
I like my sweet foods, and milk products too
Keep your ideas to yourself, nephew naysayer Stew
I was just going to ask if there was enough pudding for me.
Well that is different, yes, I will share, said my Uncle Lee....

A Fallacy of Notion
Smack the Naysayer upside the head
far fewer would have been harmed
had citizens not been disarmed --
Forefathers wise for Second Amendment
which Naysayers habitually make defendant
a necessary tool
to keep safe even the fool
preventing complete social upheaval
while man, his soul, remains harbinger
of evil!...

Merry Halloween
Merry Halloween Shelly McQueen sang.
Merry Halloween! Loud, with a bang.
That is Christmas the naysayer said.
He is always a downer; his name is Fred.
Merry Halloween! Shelly McQueen sang out.
This time it was louder, like a giant shout.
Merry is for Christmas, spoke the nasty snot.
He would not know what merry was if it bit him Shelly thought....

Skull On a Hog
all around Detroit we heard a vrrrooom vrrrooom
It’s a skull on a hog! It spells instant doom!
This was said by a naysayer who is always full of gloom.
I stood by the road to wave at the vrrrooom vrrrooom
It was a skull on a hog with orange streaming hair behind him
He asked if I wanted a ride and I climbed on in.
The grim reaper and Count Dracula were both terrified of him.
I had the best ride of my life, said my cousin Grim....

I Shall Always Be In Prayer
ensnared I submitted to prayer
impaired, tho I shared
unfair to the slayer
I had my faith
That allows me grace
In placed I played solitaire with the soothsayer
My choice, my voice…
Get thee behind me Satan
You naysayer, purveyor I shall not entertain your questionnaire;
For whether on my knees, laying down or standing (I forswear )
I shall ALWAYS be in PRAYER

If You Believe
It cannot exist the naysayer argued.
I knew it did, so I kept my lips compressed.
The naysayer wanted an argument.
He had never seen a turquoise owl.
I knew with this hard line of ignorance he never would.
Until he opened his mind how could his heart open?
I continued around the corner.
Liberace, the turquoise owl gave me a wink.
What are you doing here in the day time? I asked him.
He shrugged.
I guess nothing is impossible if you believe....

This Malady
Listen to this naysayer,
Where thee never meets his course,
Deny deny deny,
Nein nein nein as the Germans say,
His heart is hard like a stone,
He battles with his own emotions,
That lead his head topsy-turvy,
He's ill tempered,
Loathsome bipolar they call him,
Mixture of poisons stifle his heart,
Where no words venture in that dark cavern cold,
Love never thrives in it,
This malady is left untreated,
Till the day he carries it to his grave....

I do not know?
Seamstress of the Broken Hearts
Seamstress Leland is sewing up all broken hearts.
Helping to heal those sad despondent couples torn apart.
Magic in his fingertips come onto the sewing thread.
When he is finished, the heart is glowing a pretty red.
But does it work? The naysayer asks Leland in a weird way.
He replies, “If it didn’t, why would I waste my time all day?”
This makes sense to me. I admire his devotion and dedication.
He heals so many, purifying their hearts in pure edification....
