mulberry to wine
colored muscadines hang, wait....
life-mate brings hand full
Combination Haiku and Senryu
Shifty brown waters
Gnarled grey shack
on a verdant grassy pier
Snow white townhouses
on nearsighted shores
The sky, powdery blue
and you,
Barberry strawberry cranberry raspberry
Blackberry boysenberry cloudberry mulberry
Bayberry puchiuberry loganberry gooseberry
Berry berry nice!
Big mulberry tree
yields a bounty of berries
during the late spring.
So many purple berries
fall to the ground and get squashed.
Mellow mango, red gold,
Myriad ways to eat,
Marvel of June smoothies,
Munchable with ice cream.
Mesmerizing pink moon
meets orchard of delight,
Mulberry sun comes soon.
Our mulberry tree, full and bent
Gives berries so sweet, heaven-sent
They grow big and fall
Woodchucks have a ball
Get drunk on the ones that ferment!
A shelter for man and birds
With green mulberry-like leaves
Known for Zachaeus' salvation
When he met Jesus

ignore the wet cookie of Cardi B
but frisk Dr. Seuss strolling down mulberry street
burning of books is beyond bad
a Nazi night of broken glass
it's a simple matter of freedom of Sneetch
roadside mulberry
nectar attracts butterflies
- there's the goat again
a mulberry tree
under dark blue/purple skies
birdsong on the wind
red orb descending
midst the hello and goodbye
the wandering hours
evening breeze caress
sun lurks in shadows of night
mulberries so ripe
My squirrel is
sneaking up the bark
of the mulberry tree,
trying to remain
hidden as he
steals giant
paw fulls of
bird seed out
of my red bird feeder.
I smile at his smartness.
And his sneakiness at
not being seen.
Mulberry Trees and Butterflies
Daffodils and Cardinals
Beauty over ashes
Love over hate
choosing Beauty and Love
gives life sweetness that
helps to balance the times
of hurt and loss that are
inevitable in the world.
glossy green hearts hang
slotted on blotched grey branches
flappers try to fly

blue is wild iris
like the skies of racy clouds
or berries that tempt
sunshine's companion
since mulberry hours of dawn
when scents greeted song
carefree is iris
like warm wind, whistling all day
lovely disarray
gorgeous iridescent rainbow butterfly
barely pricks the shiny mulberry leaf
prancing with tiny pony like taps
leaf barely feels her, and yet is honored
to commit to her choreographed challenge
giving her a glimpse of his heartbeat and his love
Mysterious blue
as midnight moonlight spills on
meandering dreams.
Once butterflies' ball is done
merlot bliss lies past the sun!
Red Mars reveries
join nights of mulberry rose
camouflaging green.
So many are not sleeping
when the yellow warblers sing.
Hear the wind blow
Through the mulberry trees
Come, don't be afraid
Let's have a cup of tea
Open up your eyes
To the chance of a lifetime
Feel the energy of a new life
It's a chance to start anew
Find your own special gift
And celebrate life anew
Everything will be alright.
Oh, how I long to see
The part of me
Among the mulberry trees
And the butterflies.
Where the good is great,
And the sad is fate,
Where the skies are blue,
And the grass holds dew.
Where you look at your love,
Your hand in theirs,
And gaze up above,
Without a care.
MOMENTS 9 MULBERRY BUSH
Swim as you sink
Here on this brink
Think feeble sink
All thoughts get lost
Don't count the cost
Cause seems now lost
End where you start
Deep in your heart
Watch soul frame start

I heard a bird, A sweet red bird,
So I stepped out back to see.
Mrs. Mockingbird, told all she heard.
What a gossip she turned out to be.
I knew it was wrong, but I let her go on,
Singing that redbird melody.
At the end of the song, she nodded so long,
Flew away to a mulberry tree.
birds fly there singing
seeking berries juicy red
beneath nomad clouds
overly under
prismatic blooms bounce on air
in diamond sunshine
huge mulberry tree
reaching for royal blue skies
in a lush green field
playground of children
where fireflies light up the night
butterfly address
Dappled twilight shadows
Canopy of oak and mulberry leaves
Glints and glimpses of sunlight
Ominous conversation of slave catchers
Scared whispers of ones who seek freedom
Praying God will answer their prayers
Led by Harriet Tubman a true believer
Who relentlessly leads people
To the promised land
Sizzling tree woman
stomping through the forest
putting roots down hard
shaking up the elms and the oaks
Sizzling tree woman
making your presence felt
stirring up the forest
frightening the deer
Sizzling tree woman, I fear you.
Do you have a sister?
I know a brazen mulberry who needs taming.
