that’s all there are

—July the same as June
(The New Room: September, 2021)
Mozart composed the Jazz of his day,
Bach could Rock in the same way,
Music is music,
Melodies mimic,
Young tunes turn classical fogies’ heads gray.
Wolfgang Mozart waved baton,
With a sonata to impart.
The Queen of the Night moved no pawn,
Her Magic Flute rather tart,
Somewhat testy a la carte.
Do you want to know how you were born? You were created in heavens.
Davinci painted your face, Mozart composed your hair, and Michelangelo carved your body.

Though my conscience sleeps,
wrapped in the Valium of
agnosticism, it awakens to
the music of Mozart---
once more knowing God
by the sound of His voice.
Like the sun after a summer rain
Like the sweet song of a robin's refrain
A Mozart concerto
A mellow cello
A gentle touch that sets your heart aflame
We all hear Rachmaninov and Chopin
Plus Mozart, Brahms, Beethoven, and Schumann
But it’s unfair, I say
That no one will play
That great composer who’s just known as Stan
A beautiful girl is a symphony by Brahms
A melody by Mozart that will calm
A sweet reminder
Even with blinders
Between us, there is no such thing as a wall
Playing the piano is like a tonic for my soul.
It soothes my heart, and fills a spacious hole.
Mozart is so beautiful, it is my favorite.
But when I play the heavenly hymns, I savor it.
Not a snotty type but love classical music
It's soothing and extremely therapeutic
Though I'm not a snob
Mozart makes me throb
If you could see me now, I'm wearing a tunic
Sure not a snotty type but love classical music
It's so soothing and extremely hypnotic
Though not a snob
Mozart makes me throb
If you could see me now, I'm wearing a tunic

Found a new friend from the land of koalas
Sweet as they come, severe quivers she causes
Not complaining
Just takes training
She makes me feel like I'm hearing a Mozart sonata
Was into the classics in my younger years
Some compositions actually brought me to tears
Mozart and Beethoven
Their magic was calming
Much preferred to today's music in my ears
Wolfang Amadeus Mozart,
his early musical journey made him a prodigy of art.
Piano concerto’s golden notes flow with classical grace,
placid whispers of orchestra his lucid melodies brace.
My feet could not reach the pedals, yet
I read music at five years old
I played in competitions
I practiced everyday
I loved Classical
Chopin, Mozart
Piano
Still Play
Now.

A gift to the masses
—in presents of time
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2019)
Austrian-born composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
learned fast and young to be prolific in his art.
Famous for nearly four centuries now throughout history,
he left the world at age 35, his death still a mystery.
