Warm Weather Silence
No mower today
The silence is beautiful
Perfect warm weather
I wonder about neighbor
Usually mows daily
But pandemic keeps me back
I love this non- mowing sound...

boundaries
neighbors dogs fenced in
run about the yard and play
can't come out on the road
they play ball and fetch
follow owner when he mows
wait at their back door...

Watch - Time
me eye be
...buzz'n...
the present as a
...pre sent...
moment that mows
...meant shuns...
of its very being then
...sews them...
to gather this moments
...tear ease now...
passing instant seconds when
...me watch is finally wound...
stan sand...

Larks Fall
A lark smiles and chats
With sunrays in Ankara
Hunter shoots it dead
Vengeance in a truck
Mows down people in Berlin
In Christmas shopping
Pain in pink ribbons
Thorns in vengeful souls stubborn
Sun and moon look on

Summertime
Kids shout,
“School’s out!”
So soon,
it’s June.
July,
temp’s high.
Kids play
all day.
Ump’s call:
“Foul ball.”
Grass grows.
Dad mows.
Sun’s hot.
Pool’s not.
Rest time,
sublime
Mom’s made
Kool-Aid
Childhood,
so good

Drizzle
Drizzle
August-6-2016
This morning started with a soothing drizzle,
Not enough to quench yard’s ravenous thirst.
By sunrise this rainfall was beginning to fizzle,
And I was left praying for a real cloudburst.
We got only enough to make the grass grow,
A blessing for the person who mows the lawn;
Giving him opportunity to make some dough,
While I enjoy the cool and let thoughts spawn.

Lyric
Reason
The acoustic hallows,
stark face follows...
The guns show line's in the time's,
as drifty as sand and wines...
The larkspur gives them grows,
the English meter mows,
we don't show,
anything we want to know-
time to create plaster now,
let off on a few rafters,
dynamic and enigmatic...
It is so hardly sparse,
it's waiting on the cart,
it's everybody to dart!...

Banana Bread For Breakfast
He mows the lawn,
doesn't every man?
He mops the kitchen,
a gift of great value.
He shells pecans,
saves the pith for me.
He roasts peanuts;
we love peanuts!
He plants blackberries,
brings them in a bucket.
He builds bird houses,
cooks his own suet cakes.
He picks wildflowers,
shows me where they grow.
He makes up our bed,
most every day.
He bakes banana bread,
serves it warm, with coffee.
You will notice, I sometimes
wear a Cheshire grin....

The Present
Gazing out of the window, among the few willows,
Wondering mind, eyes looking yonder,
A cat mews, a cow mows,
The sheep bleat and to the present i bounce.
Exploring the wonders of the Great Reef,
The most exotic flower i was about to sniff,
When i found myself at the cliff
Wondering at the wonderful sea.
The bang of the door bringing me back to the present,
Bang! back to my current predicament
Upon the table lay the basket
And inside was a well wrapped present....
