Death In the Forenoon
Death In The afternoon

The field mouse
 So dolce
Sleeping in
A blue flower
The woman who took
This adorable picture
Also had a
 Moggy
On the sofa it poured
And the lady will
 Never know
What the cat did to
The mouse
As there are things
 Cats do not care
Divulge
To us sensitive humans...

Premium Member The Cat Who Came In From the Cold
THE CAT WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD

Sat at the window looking in
So much noise o' what a din
Children laughing, such glee
O’ Lord, just how cold is me
Snowflakes falling on my fur
Door opens, thanks kind Sir
A plate of chicken, a nice pat
Now rests the Christmas cat

“Remember, a homeless moggy this Christmas” . . . : )...

Purrfection
Oh fantastic furry feline
So silent and still in slumber
White whiskers awaiting to wake
From dreams of docile dormice.

Mysterious and mesmerising moggy
Boundless beauty befalls you
Perfect plush paws and cutting claws
Bright beautiful eyes bestowed.

Oh valiant velvet cloaked vagabond
A spirit so wild and wilful
My love lies languishing in your heart
Come closer to comfort my soul....

A Morning Moment
A morning moment

The owner of a black cat
Sits on a chair by the open door, on the shady side of the road
Reading yesterday’s paper.
The moggy opens its eyes they are like a creamy zabaglione
When I walk past.
The feline sees me then closes its eyes again.
The owner of the cat gets up with tail erect
Marches into the house
The door closes
The man starts up his scooter drive off in a haze of sunlight....
