Religion a misnomer
whose conscript is God
Devotion misguided
—preeminent fraud
(Strafford Pennsylvania: July, 2021)
Maestro's uneven orchestration of life,
seasoned with unassuming whispers,
began the eminent finale
of their misguided souls
Looking at the stars
We play life's cartographers
Hastily naming
Which ones we're meant to follow
And which to pass in wonder
'Ping-Pong' is wrong
'Peng' confided
If 'Ping' is lopsided
then 'Pong' is misguided
'Prong' decided

Wrong..Doing things in error.'
Misguided, going on in wasted ways.'
Mark, a sign to be known by all.'
Carney really ticks, all the boxes.'
Ignored, forgotten singed and blackened
Manuscripts of misguided thoughts
Tossed to the fireplace but forever
Impinged on brain cells expelled as billowy smoke
Emotionally
beat down
Over time
spent in
Emotionally
draining
Encounters
Of the
childish kind
In misguided
Youthful
Attempts

Did you know, for Heaven's sake,
last week, I maligned a snake
in a poem that was misguided -
and patently one-sided.
I now have an affinity
for the serpent of divinity.
There once was lad named Sean,
Who thought he was a leprechaun.
He dressed all in green,
And pinched the colleens,
Then danced a jig until dawn.

(Colleen - an Irish girl)
Jumping with joy the heart knew what to do.
She had met her match and she was insanely glad.
She followed him around until he was rather blue.
Given a stalker label, for she was crazily bad.

Wet Snow
Falling like tears
Melting on my cheeks
I look up at dark skies
Remember forgotten fears
Promised loves misguided lies
Cleansed now by White
Ever so clean
Where once so dark
A sparkling sheen.
A mistake
Probably a misunderstanding
Or misinterpretation
A memory
Probably a poor mentality
Or misjudgement
A movement
Probably on a move
Or misguided
A motive
Probably a motivation
Or a mistake
When growing up, thought poems were for sissies
Sure was misguided, it now allows for my sillies
To come front and center
Hold on to your dentures
Don't want you to pop a split back of your civvies
Upon reaching the top
I found a new bottom
Polarity lies
with the truth ill begotten
Direction a ruse
in misguided fruition
As searchers take flight
— in their new destitution
(The New Room: January, 2025)
Promises of dances on Mars
Misguided passions
Walking on watered bars
Filled with steel contractions
Correctly spoken never chosen
Often frozen
Filled Earth's best
What it all comes to be we're all just
Dirt
Confused about what we need
Misguided by the ones who lead
It’s dark and we can no longer cope
Yet no one dares to offer us hope
Open your eyes and see the truth
The world breeds no future from today’s youth.
Upon reaching the top
I found a new bottom
Polarity shifts
once the apples are rotten
Direction a ruse
of misguided fruition
Where searchers take flight
— in a new convolution
(Dreamsleep: December, 2025)
Unfulfilled misguided sweet dreams
Empty promises bursting at the seems
Relentless misgivings turbulent love
Once interwoven like a silken glove
Lost but not forgotten always treasured
Symbolic reveries coiled hearts measured
Sun rising
Over the rampant seas
Clouds opening to reveal
The armies mustering
Preparing for death and decimation
They march steadily forward
Into the maws of
Misguided patriotism
As those they love
Wonder what
And why
conjoins mind- rips thought process from my soul as it relegates my life
my choice what I choose-scripted molecules embrace–misguided persons

If I cannot lose sight
of my past misguided pre-conceptions,
how can I then separate
the wheat from the chaff
when it comes down to planting
a healthy righteous garden
of my own

Hurried and misguided tales, cutting the strings of a harp
On the need to give a yes-no answer, one gets ‘perhaps’
Another, stating the last three words of ‘happen’ as ‘hap’
Xmas now celebrated in June is not a mishap
Lie after Lie
untruth & deception
Deceit upon deceit
betrayal, false perception
Time to stop
your manipulative infections
I'm over your
misguided directions
I'm removing you
for self-protection
The death of you
is my resurrection.
