Short Mince Pie Poems

This year there’s no gifts to delight us
Cos Santa Claus has tinselitus
He’s confined to bed
And can’t steer his sled
His mince pie is now superfluous 

My husband will take up the cause
And dress up as dear Santa Claus
In a suit of bright red
On mince pies he’ll be fed
Children give him a round of applause

A time most looked forward to,
Decorations hung up lights on the tree,
Time to send children to bed,
Santa is due at any time.

Talc footsteps lead to the tree,
Presents underneath,
Mince pie and carrots on a plate, milk in a glass,
It bedtime for the adults now.

Morning comes all to soon,
Been woken with "he's been he's been",
Bleary eyed up you get,
Its Christmas morn....

Such a lovely, lovely girl
You'd make the perfect pot roast
Or a mince pie, you're such a sweety,
