Canadian Winters
Winter's aproaching with record speed
Not looking forward to this dastardly deed
Happens every year
Perhaps milder I hear
But as usual the cold will most likely succeed...

A Milder Winter
Summer is over, must accept that fact
Sure not happy about it, enthusiasm I lack
Maybe what's ahead
Is milder weather instead
Perhaps we'll get by without that freezing crap

Mildest Winter On Record
Forecasters are predicting the mildest winter yet
Won't hear ME complaining, on that you can bet
Much milder for sure
More snow which is poor
But after eighty long years, I surely won't fret

Spring Is In the Air
Today I sat in the sunshine,
I lingered for a time,
Flowers are budding,
Insects are a'buzzing,
Seasons have turned, somehow,
The air is milder now,
Spring is in the air,
Lightens us up everywhere,
Human to earth, human to earth,
Thanks for Spring, for what it's worth!...

Sweet
Sugar is sweet
But, too much of it makes you sick
And may die diabetic and despondent.
Love is sweet
But too much of it makes you insolvent
And may die too dependent.
Better moderate and milder
As it makes you somber
But the sweetest word ever
Is LOVING YOU forever!...

Spring Envelopes Blooms
Tall houses overlooking Green Park
Gracefull movements voice melodious
Eyes locked Bodies brushed Surprise!
A beautiful sunny Spring day Soft laugh
Fresh words of love attracted attention
A young maiden appears in the doorway
Turning key in the lock Already distracted
Colour flooded her face a milder pink hue...

Universe
I'm connected to the universe
From my couch
Sitting on galaxy of thoughts
Floating over turns of ideas
Feeling alive and knowing it's worth it
Loving every phase of it as it turn
Me to a milder love
The universe is all sewn up in my mind with Dedication as the needle
And Love as thread
And that got me outta my couch

Marmite Or Vegemite
Marmite or Vegemite, which is the best?
If you dont know then you won't pass the test
One is a milder and lighter brown paste
While the other is darker with a meatier taste
So if you've not tried them please give them a go
Or ask Deb or Tom and they'll let you know ;-)
Dedicated to Tom Cunningham (Sir Tom's Marmite Army) and to Deb M (The Queen of the Kingdom of Vegemite)...

Love's Whispered Promise
I see your face before me as I weep
By water's edge, leaves swirling in the wind
Your touch I feel in this, my frozen hand
I reach for you, but cannot grasp your hand
The tears well up in wintry waves that weep
Warm summer's sun now banished by chill wind
In June there streamed a milder, gentler wind
I thrilled to take your tender, outstretched hand --
O Nature, lift your voice for us and weep
~ Love's whispered promise broken by ill wind...

Heros
Laura Ingles Wilder
Her prose were milder
Than poetry or verse
Intended to coearce
Louisa May Alcott
Wrote tales I bought
About women and boys
With hearts sure to poise
Miss Nancy Drew
Wasn't such a shrew
She solved every crime
In her own spare time
Little Trixie Belden
Mysteries were well done
Dancing with shadows
Which she would expose
The brothers Grimm
Wrote tales that did brim
With joy, hope and love
Sent down from heaven above

Spiritual Weather To Let Go
I
The rain came without rainbows
She walked between the raindrops
The sun, even in Fall, warms all over
No crimson & gold leaves over tops
Of local mountains, but fruit all Year!
Be there clouds, mustard seed faith grows

The milder African winters, not for him
He had not traveled abroad - bad & good
White cattle herons, always delighting
With aerial acrobatics, done getting food
Like paper kites dressed in snow, hovering
At twilight over the lake, their lives coloring...

Lost September
I lost September somewhere in the sadness
lost track of shadows in the sun
mourned not fading warmth nor shortened days
shivering in a crystal cloak of frost.
Lovers, sated on a Summer’s sweetness
succumbing to the lie – forever’s now
idle in the arms of humid passion
wilting on the vines of plumping lust.
Cold soil covering September
blanketing the joys of milder days
memories slow fading with the season
huddled near the fencepost by the barn.
