Winter's aproaching with record speed Not looking forward to this dastardly deed Happens every year Perhaps milder I hear But as usual the cold will most likely succeed

Indeed! No matter how much we eschew its coming, winter will not be denied in our part of the country. Ugh!

Southern Ontario which is where I live is on the same parallel as Northern California!!! So the impression the world has is automatically it's Canada it must be frigid... not so! Get milder winters but lots of snow though! Hope that clears it up Sir Thomas!
