A
pot plant,
this cycad-
now four metres
wide
takes
living
in its stride-
Kew's long-lasting
pride
Encephalartos altensteinii
brought to Kew in 1775 from SA,grows one inch a year.

Reading the pointing map
Oozing sweet fumes
Amazing natural landscape
Driving on oil and gas.
Trails of accidents
Rims here and there.
Inscriptions old and new
'Pure Town' is just few metres..

Don't put your left hand in
don't shake it all about
stand 2 metres away
and mumble lyrics
from beneath the mask we
can never take off
no more space to dance
no time to stop
just is
we are this way

I dream
Lush epic
Metres spry and
Haunting with a dash of
Whimsy

Big yellow bus, I know you wont be long
Over nine metres, unless I am wrong
Left hand stretched out, it feels grand to hop on
Twists and then turns, towards my home beyond
Old places, old faces, tea nice and strong
Now this is my stop, it's where I belong

Multitude of numbers,
Multiply, add, divide,
Minus, percentage, graphs,
Metres, centimetres,
More trigonometry,
Merge with geometry,
Magic of solving sums.

GREAT NEIGHBOURS
Yesterday as the afternoon was coming to a close
The doorbell rang, it was Vanessa holding a beautiful rose,
For you I have just snipped it,
Still communicate, two metres apart seems fit,
Was touched, Vanessa and Neel’s, best neighbours, it shows!

Life is a race .
If you want to win the race ,
Wait for right time .
In the race of life ,we don't run as we run in hundred metres race .
There is necessary to understand the actual concept of life.
We must accept the reality of life.
Life demands hardwork , sincerity, devotion toward work , sacrifice and more than them.

*Of The Sea*
taunted torrent tamed
cremating callous crave
melting meagre sigh
hoisted horizon plies
fractured feelings fostered
moaning mystic metres
wielded waves yawned
puncturing pulpy pawn
merging masticated clown
lanky luck leers
vying voluptuous fear
felon fate peered
hoisted crunching creed's
of the sea.

Where comes a tree?
a seed planted deep
into the ground of earth
from which it does leap
This then produces wood
grows many metres tall
with branches sprung out
in time its leaves do fall
The paper you write upon
is made from this wood
what would you do?
a pen alone is no good
So next time you write
think on all of this
that little seed planted
brings you poetic bliss

The stick stung like scorpion
On his flesh
His face squeezes in smile
Of great pain
He scratches voilently
Trying to find some soothes
He is late to school
And he does 100 metres
All the way
All this he does only
To recieves lashes on his
back
The teacher has turned to
Be the punisher
As she stood with a face
That is covered with cloud
Of anger,that scares all
away.

Every goddamned cake
You bake
I shall speedily take…
Not simply for its sake:
The fragile dreams it does awake!
A shimmering bluish water lake,
Where my unsafe love guesses I make;
Off tearing layers of my personal hatred, every flake
While watched from some metres by Eden’s Snake
I should be able to split into two with divine rake
Resides, on my judgmental tongue
Your cake had never been fake!

I saw you up ahead
By yourself
Off to the side
In the still brown winter grass
Scales tightly woven
At the tip
Releasing only halfway
The nearest pinetree
Over 100 metres away
A Squirrel surely brought
You this far and gave up
Now you will survive
Among my family
Of Lake Superior
Rocks and driftwood
Abandoned birdnests
And other found
Forest orphans
Forever
Loved

Personification
Gerry the giraffe am I
on tiptoes six metres high
In Africa I was born in the wild
& grew up there as a child
I went exploring as I was very bold
& now I reside in the English Cotswold
I can easily see over my stable stall
for it has only a ten foot wall
Everyday in my yard,I take tea
& lots of folk come to visit me
With my long tongue I lick clean my face
so some say my manners are a disgrace

Personification
In Siberia they drilled a hole that was deep
And they heard there a sound to keep
2000 metres into a giant air pocket
And lowered a microphone into it
What they taped was screaming
And he wondered at the meaning
Some say it was Hell
And they thought the story was a Christian bell
But I wonder at the story
Was he making a point for glory
Or had he uncovered
A mystery that was undiscovered.

Ballad
Two hearts apart;social distance
Two metres between, in this instance
A viral spark flies across the divide
A warm glow their joined souls provide
All's well in epidemic love and war
That's what men are made for
To forever love and hold
Till the contract is torn at the fold
Under lock down other gods lose their lustre
Our social graces we muster
United within the Trinity holy and pure
Love becomes gentle and kind for sure

The French call it "dix" - the Romans used X
The number of lords that are leaping Xmas
The total of fingers and thumbs on both hands
The base used for metric - both metres and grams
Count hydrogen atoms in compound butane
Downing Street doorstep, our PM's domain
Legs on a lobster and all decapods
Commandments and plagues that were given by God
The number of toes on the end of our feet
The lines in this poem - that makes it all neat

Verse
How to express what
I see within.Its
frame,my mind, is so
much smaller than
this view before me.Yet
my eyes can only focus
ahead or a few metres
either side.To view my
world I must move and then
turn and turn about.Inside my
restricted frame,I can see without
focus,as I please back and
forth in surreal time.Change at
will from black& white, still life to
movie.So many choices,which
to select,to paint or write or
perhaps merely contemplate.
A structured prose verse

Bio
You go to your local store to buy Christmas wrapping paper,
For 5 NZ Dollars you get 3 rolls of Wrapping paper,
Each roll is 70 cm X 2 Metres.
You are about to buy the Christmas wrapping paper,
When you notice 3 Dollars will give a single roll of the same wrapping paper,
The single roll is 70 cm X 5 Metres.
Don't you just Love shopping in the modern age,
Where it is hard to Gage
If two for one is cheaper than one plus one,
So, if in a hurry you come away with none.
