Spring's resurrection revives
Surprise lovebirds awaken
One springtime our love did blaze
Snow 'pon mountain forsaken
Us lovebirds of an exact feather.
Whereof our element as we merge together.
Free as air, we as light but a feather.

Here lies the whistling hollowed bones of lovebirds
Entrenched in storm torn skylines
Set flight amidst torrents
Breaking body and soul
Failing to find the fervent love in them in others
They ask me:
Where did Sarah go to?
Where did Jennifer go to?
Where did Suzie go to?
Did your coldness swallow them?
I say:
We were lovebirds;
Birds always fly out and follow different directions
Stars spangle this verse,
Fabric-love's universe,
Love so unilateral,
Dude still loves this gal,
Magic continues for us,
Flickers, love needs no fuss,
We're abstracts, we rhyme,
Cosmic lovebirds for all time....

taper moonlight lovebirds
tender coo and sigh that
trace heartbeat neap tide verve

Two crows upon a pole were poised
On this tranquil August evening
Count one for sorrow, two for joy
In the golden daylight leaving
But no one else was there to see
How closely they were huddled
And there was no one there for me
To, like those lovebirds, cuddle.
There stands a lofty tree
beckoning to lovebirds
whilst it shades wildflowers
and dreamers resting 'neath its
majestically revered stateliness,
portrayed by famed artists alike,
written farthermost poetic essence
midst ennobled exaltation's grandeur
Silent night –
Love in the air
Takes flight!
Lovebirds,
Softly spoken
Sweet words …
Hopes cling
Tracing each stroke
Souls sing.

Along the crimson hue of the eve,
You and I; let us leave.
Aside the glassy, serene sea
You and I, we shall flee.
Peeping the enigmatic sky, so high
You and I, we'll fly.
Your gleaming eyes, "let me caress"
You and I, we'll immerse.
Through the lush-green hopeful days, we'll chirp
You and I; the lovebirds.
LOVE BIRDS
On a journey of feelings I embark
Heart filled with love
Brain filled with imaginations
Imaginations about us
U and I
Linked together by love
Love growing stronger daily
Death alone will be our separator
Together we shall live
Forever and ever
My love for you is
Immeasurable
For words alone can’t express it
Oh! Eyes!
Very excellent eyes,
Hurt in my heart.
Oh! Eyes!
If you have no tear,
I feel,
My heart has become a desert.
Oh! Eyes!
An ocean, or a sky,
I can sink in it.
I can die.
I can fly.
If you look at me
Keep your eyes on my eyes.

I feel like millions of lovebirds.

In a breeze of timid whispers
and with wary downcast eyes
the secret world was opened
to where true depth of feeling lies.
With each step, stories were told
and a tapestry of intimacy unfolded.
to dare or not to dare
to care or not to care.
In the dog-days of romance,
those are the calls
that lovebirds must answer.

I fell asleep kissing her lips
She fell asleep on my arms
while kissing
We fell asleep on each other's lips
How deep is that?
DROWN
Her love is a rare truth
In her words I believe in
she’s my love and my muse
as lovebirds we’re perfectly
caged in.

Tribute to Chris Green
We were an innocent couple,
We were naively sweet
Fluffy and soft
Embarking on a great love
We were an unremarkable couple
Just a couple of lovebirds
Sharing secrets, passing notes
We were an uncomplicated couple
I loved her and she loved me
And we just wanted to hold hands
And always be together
Fluffy and sweet,
Coyly smiling
Making wishes
And stealing kisses
We were an unbreakable couple
When we were seven
Form:
Ex lovebirds of
the tamest passion can turn
so predatory.
Passive aggressive
schoolboys who mock whistle at
ex-girlfriends for spite.
Who scatter book bag
contents in mock accidents
for supposed revenge.
As witchcraft conjured
by the nonbelligerent
to silence the bully
I summon some sweet,
musical, lascivious
words as orphic spells
In self-effacing
defense to tame the awful
beast with dirty magic.
Lorine and Jerome sat in a tree,
Both starry-eyed and talking profusely
Jerome turned to Lorine and asked, "Will you marry me?"
Lorine turned back smiling and said, "Yes, you're my one and only."
The two lovebirds sang beautifully in springtime, lovely chords played on and on, oh so sublime
Then, 9 months later, early one cold January day,
A little bird sat on the tree branch alongside Lorine and Jerome, just chirping away
BLESS THE HEART OF SPRINGTIME
Pert buds of Springtime,
Sunshine bows to thee —
Forsythia gold,
Willow’s spray in pink
And snow-white Bradfords.
Scampering, like
Squirrels and bunnies,
*Croplet of kids
Stir the playground.
Gardenia’s
Southern scent —
Bless the heart.
Swooning

Lovebirds sing a duet up in the clouds
tulips pucker up to kiss the butterflies,
I am surrounded here by serene beauty
with the tears of heaven in my eyes.
Where bright rainbows never fade away
and stars twinkle in the moonbeams,
yet, what is all of this beauty worth
if there is no one to share my dreams.
Still, you shall find me there someday
and maybe want to stay for awhile,
making sure that my tears in heaven
accompany only laughter and a smile.
