Bless the Heart of Springtime

BLESS THE HEART OF SPRINGTIME 

Pert buds of Springtime,
Sunshine bows to thee —
   Forsythia gold,
Willow’s spray in pink
   And snow-white Bradfords.

Scampering, like
   Squirrels and bunnies,
*Croplet of kids
   Stir the playground.

Gardenia’s
   Southern scent —
Bless the heart.

Swooning
Lovebirds -

Kiss.
