To have loved and lost
are a heaven and a hell;
and the place between
is their own purgatory,
a limbo of sorting out.
sinking like a deep breath
a gasp upon the shore
riding the waves
of long goodbyes

No number of letters strewn
can fairly capture
the glory of pure unadulterated hope
faith
in the face of total loss
I can't stand the sound of a mourning dove
Because it take me back Home
And I'm not there anymore
It's my favorite bird
I know how I feel about you
But I don't know how you feel about me
It doesn't really matter
Because I know we'll never be.
Form:
I have no roof to shelter under
When the sky begins to rain
For an umbrella through the thunder
I will always hope in vain.
The sunset bids
quick goodbye.
It leaves behind
Orangey-red days,
Light-grey shadows
That slowly dip into one's mind.
tho you gone to heaven
forever
am left with this pain
my eyes or like rain
don't know what to do
am still
CRYING OVER YOU
Dating vague memories
Voice from the distant past
Do I dare brave the unknown?
Am I chasing dreams
Or am I chasing ghosts
She smiled like sin in silk—
slow, sweet, and sharp beneath.
He kissed her anyway.
Called it love.
She called it
strategy.
It's
A fire burning
What's not there
To burn..
A story of
Separation's
New role
Appearing on
Stage...
Only you
Know me
My open door invites you in
just to break me once again
Where is
A locksmith
When needed?

if my days should end
i've loved you with all my heart
would you wake knowing
Song: If Tomorrow Never Comes - Ronan Keating
Great love
My love
But what great love bears not great pain
If not in daily tribulation
Then at thy final parting
Maggie
Shifted child
hither and away
ripped roots clipped
soil untended
uncertain tender shoots
beneath the snow
fear spring thaw
Made of yarn and small sticks
Needle through my heart
It "seams" to fit
Dead work of art

Red.
Burning.
Covetous.
Neurons on fire.
You are the one thing.
The many things.
I let go.
But not.
Yet

She told me
She doesn’t love me
So I wander about
Feeling as though
Nothing is right
I have become a Corvette
With a VW engine
The ships gone adrift
On the blue portrait of us
Were just two strangers
No destination in mind
Every port just looks the same
The flowers died on Monday,
The ones that lay next to her bed
They pulled the plug on Monday,
The roses shrivelled up and dead.
I
shudder
to think
what
the world
would be
without
the moon
the stars
the sun
without you

be brave
when darkness comes
and braver still
when not for you
it lingers in
the broken heart
and feeds upon
unquenched desire
Form:
i thought sadness was just a feeling
'til you made it my addiction
i thought pain was just temporary
'til you tattooed it on my skin
moments of solitude
reflections of light
memories of faces
I’ve seen
faces of memories
light of reflections
solitude of moments
Living?
Simply, lonely
Quietly, sometimes scared
Empty home, heartbreaking moments
Winter?
