Looking back, was the rose in me,
Looser having his heart savagely grime...
Looming at the jar,
Was the poisoned love.
Behind me
The path goes along broken
The large ruts
Jagged trail
Not looking back I move on
Perfection ahead
Russell Sivey
Step sideways
looking back over your shoulder.
No one follows.
The path we lay in life
is ours alone
and No One follows.
Am pondering on decisions I made,
looking back the way I came,
search my face in mirrors frame,
though what past can be changed?
Form:
i always knew lookin back
on the tears
would make me laugh
but i never knew
looking back on the laughs
would make me cry again
A burning desire
Sodom became ash for lust
Strewn in the gutter
No one desrved it
Like Mrs. Lot, for looking back
Her salt is preserved
I was a silly fool
I fell for your charm and chivalry
~ little crumbs here and there

The cart

The end a
retrospective
When running
— your last course
(Dreamsleep: July, 2024)
my mind is stack
looking back
how many was wack
but they fought back
to put us on the rack
thoses days nevere fades
WE CAME ALONGWAYS
I see him looking back at me,
Round every corner, round every tree.
There is nary a place that I can hide
To escape my father deep inside
Eyes fixed on the past
Looking back on solemn days
Heartaches bred sorrows
Yet the sun smiles down on me
I found inner peace with God
WITHOUT YOU
Without regrets, without looking back
If you read this do believe,
Life WITHOUT you is like the color black

I once saw a fish on a hook,
traveling up and down a brook
with a tasty worm inside
wiggling once then died
looking back with, a dirty look
"You gotta have a puppy!"
Don't even need a guppy!"
Don't want a doggy surprise,
Gazing at such soulful eyes,
"Looking back at ya, puppy!"
Wandering,
from my tired shadow-
toward the sun.
Looking back,
as dusk’s mystic elixir,
liquidates my past.

Looking back through time
The window in my mind
Remembering what life was
Life is a blessing some forget as we age

a mighty torrent
unleashing wrath –
storms eye
a scattering of debris
puzzle pieces
no looking back
tantrum
I sat on my Republican fence.
Looking at politicians from thence.
And what did I see
Looking back at me?
Disenfranchised freedoms with no sense.
looking back
my minds stack
what took place
all about corlor and race
what so many has to face
its still back of my mind
GOING
BACK IN TO TIME
Into the flames,turned into ash,tempreture rising,no looking back...Gone in a second,a goodbye,a tear,death is a warm welcome,with nothing to fear...
we're moving ahead
we are the of the bed
mane the light red
we had to stop
remove that block
get on the good lot
the stacks
ITS A FACT
NO LOOKING BACK
From the day we met
A thousand years have vanished,
They passed so quickly --
The children are grown and gone,
Winds blow freely through the house.
When we look up at the stars
may we be blessed… their glow and beauty to savor…
And when we see them looking back at us…
do our best to return the favor.
I played my toy piano.
Sounded like happy tunes of christmas chimes.
Looking back on turquoise memories.

this wasn't a easy task
we didn't run out of gas
now at last
looking back I it was tough too
FOR THEM TO GET FREEDOM KEY
TODAY without them
WHERE WOULD WE BE
