Bess
She lay, lonelier than a stone,
hoping for company, any
company, but the only
visitor was Father Time,
come to say Goodbye....

With the loss of a companion,
     our days become longer.
With the loss of a pal,
     our days become lonelier,
With the loss of both,
     our lives become both....

Is There
Is there ever going to be a lonelier picture
of me facing a moon that hides
behind a cloud of rain?
Or of me watching you from afar
and loving you at arms length?

Is there?...

No Road Travelled Alone
No road is lonelier than the one
You chose to travel on your own
Making you miss out on life fun
Even where love’s light has shone
Time to restart that life’s Journey
Life road is the journey now I see...

Space Men
They touched the sky like gods
And broke the great firmament
Then beyond
Riding on thunder and fire
To see the stars as they are
And live between worlds
Received by Apollo, who
Is lonelier than we thought...

Proud Sky
Harsh sky,
inexplicably blank,
A lonesome me amidst crowd,
stared for recognition up,
and seek a connection,
between ground and heaven,
came none,
cruel sky,
spoke of none,
it quietly saw,
me getting lonelier in crowd,
it would not descend,
it was too proud....

Loneliness
Is that what i feel when i am in company and still feel left out?
Is that when someone i loved walked out of my life?
Is it when my best friend and i fought and our friendship was quits?
i am still alone and searching for an inner meaning to loneliness
and the more i search i realise the lonelier i am...

Dispair
Despair
I feel the sun.
The warmth does not penetrate.
I see the light.
The darkness remains.
I’m surrounded by people
And lonelier than ever.
I am aware of my good fortune.
However, I can’t pull myself together.
I fracture apart.
Spiraling further down.
No way out.
Trapped in a hell of my own....

When I'M Without You
The bed feels lonelier when thee is not lying with me.
I lay here in agony, longing to hold thy body.

The room feels emptier when you're not home.
I pace around in here all alone, waiting for you.

The life I live feels sadder when I am without you,
I pray we'll be together for at least whatever seems to be forever....

All Alone On Christmas Eve
Alone all alone on Christmas Eve, I could have poured my heart out To the joys I shared with my family, But this winter, it's lonelier than ice Frozen cold inside of me. Perhaps another year I'd say, But this Christmas is gone away Locked up in a box of solitude, Longing for a hug from my loved ones All alone this Christmas eve.

Premium Member Remembering Christmas
Discard the foolish thoughts of worthless things,
instead reach out to somebody lonelier than a raggy vagrant
who can't find his cosy home remembering Christmas;
help him find it and fill his distraught spirit with sheer delight!

Excerpt fom the poem, " The Thrill of Imagination. "
Entered in Gregory R Barden's contest, " Rithimus Divisa 10 "...

Premium Member Her Tin Crown
Smile gone, the yellow orb wrapped in haze
  leaves sidewalks and lawns lonelier
Darkness o'erspreads afternoon's tin crown
  Her realm overmatched
    she collapses into

the grim face of night --
stars, squinting cold points in the sky
the moon's paint scraped off the horizon
  a Wind that raises goosebumps
~ riding the sere mane of a witch...

Sleep Easy
I wish I didn't wake up in pain every morning
I wish I didn't have a cloud over my head every night
I wish that my mind wasn't flooded with thoughts
as I try to sleep
It's no longer something refreshing
but something I dread
I run to that when I can bare no more
As each night passes it gets worse and worse
They get colder and lonelier
I'm barely living
if at all...

All Alone
Where my heart at? Where my life at?
"Love thy neighbor as Thy self?" All it does is drive me crazy, insane, and brings me a
lonelier life.
Whose watch is that? Is it hers, is it mine, I really don't care!

My heart finally awoke in the Summer.
This is not a haiku like 5-7-5.
Yes, I do love you but how far will this go?
Haven't seen you in a week. No, correction it's been 3...

San Antonio
evening moon rise
I watch with the fountain,
a youth
searching for answers
who am I
what am I
where am I really?
most importantly
why am I here?

the rainbow colors of the water
make me lonelier
a lost soul
they call me

suddenly a vision
of the fountain
and the water
flowing into
the other.

oh, I am both
the water
and the fountain
flowing endlessly

Still lonely
and alone
beating heart
now...

She is night star beautiful
strawberry blond curls
illuminating royal cheekbones
hazel (eye)d
conversationalist supreme
bikini fit
the crown jewel on Mr. Deans
list

Lunchtime, she chose her seat carefully
her cherub face bathed in half shadow
in a strange three-quarter pose
like a nude model sitting for a con
artist

Forever single
the pretty girl with the glass eye
was lonelier than a night star...

Empty Chair
Every day that goes by you are in my heart
Memories that is filled, with happier times
Please understand there are times it's hard
Today may be Christmas but your not here
Yet you will always be important part of it

Christmas it can be lonelier without you
Here is a simple thought of you being here
A place will be set at the table just for you
It may appear to be empty not in our heart
Remembering the happiest time with you...

Holidays Were Never Mine
Those Christmas lights and festive season
Were never mine to enjoy.

The 90s movies and the love songs
The holiday music
The lyrics of my favorite poet
Oh! how I try to be furthest away from every bit of it!
Every bit, that makes this heart heavier
Colder and lonelier.
I let the merriness pass
Somewhere in a cold quiet room, like it never happened to me.

The holidays were never mine.
I do not want to feel.
What I never had....

23:34 - Doppelganger
I've been looking for people who look like you.
You'll never be here, so they'll have to do.
I hate that you smile in a similar way,
Yet I need the resemblance, and can't look away.

I've been loving the people who look like you.
And it hurts that it's not, but what else can I do?
You made me so happy, but left me in tears,
I'm lonelier now than I have been in years.

I'm losing the people who look like you,
Please don't say that I'm losing you too....

Love Without Hope
Years have drifted by as I live by your memories to garner
Silently I quivered for your love, but shied to whisper
You lived in tumultuous ignorance of my passions dearer
The heedless winds blissfully enveloped you, leaving me lonelier

Memory in Solace
There is a grave with no name
That stands lonelier still.
It has no flowers nor despairing mourners
And the grass grows thick and bushy,
For this grave is left to rot.

Abandoned is this grave—
No one knows if a funeral was ever held.
The vicar says he knows all faces,
Yet this one, he cannot place.
Ostracised even by the other dead,

This grave stands alone.
Who could tell who was laid here to rest?
Not you, nor I,
Though I knew him once.
He was a good man. But, now, he rots....
