Chicken Livers - Epulaeryu
Chicken livered gravy
covering rice cake
steamed to puffy kernals
with a broccoli
bunch beside to add
a little green.
Enjoy!...

A small chicken more like a fryer
One with all its innards
When the pack was opened
Out came two necks, three livers, two gizzards
                 No hearts?
There has got to be a poem in here somewhere____...

Heard
Because I am
Seventeen
Female
Black
Hispanic
Misunderstood
Thump

I hear you
Shoving your fingers down throats,
Bruising unseen crevices,
Destroying livers
Thump

Hearts…
Broken
Veins…
Opened
Innocence…
Taken
World…
Shaken
Thump

You are the cries of the speechless,
The tune of morbidity,
The woes
And the
Foes.
Thump...

Dreamcatcher
dreamcatcher,
return my things to me;
i'm lost deep in thought,
distraught by this captivity
binding my eyes open.
dreamcatcher,
forgiver of life livers,
shield me completely
from the storm's tears;
salt on the open wound,
pouring through the cracks
of my fears.
dreamcatcher,
fate mismatcher,
loosen your hold
but don't let go....

Livers
	bleed

lungs
	gasp for breath

vessels of poetry
	read

pain disappears
	tears recede

love floats above the sea
	tides of sadness

recede
	planted in marshlands

seeds
	friendship bloomed

living for words
	no longer matters

I embrace my brother
	love his might

standing on cliffs ledge
	gazing this new morn

softly I whisper
	we are one...

Drinking Problem
I need to quit drinking is what I say,
Then the next day,
I'm wasted away,
It's so hard for me to stop,
I don't blame it on my Pop,
But I'm not rock,
I have no will power,
It's time for me to come to that dark hour,
And realize that it's time for me to quit,
Because my livers taken to big of a hit,
Rock bottom's just around the corner,
And soon I'm going to be a big fat loner....

Treading Lightly Over a Dead Poet
You flounce
as if you were an ostrich fan
all fluffed up on the page
waving at posterity.
I nibble at your chicken livers,
occasionally
swing from your bell-ringing images
that dare to delight me,
but you peck at words too much
and those long pauses
when you take a bow
are tedious.
Sorry to see that you are dead,
when you were alive
reviewing your work
was a lot easier,
now I have to praise you
just to show I care.

Love Rain
Rain falls
and we fall in love
rain brings calmness
And allows love to reign

Rain speaks
and we communicate
rain brings comfort
and sings us a lullaby while we sleep

Rain cleans the muddy heart
Sweet words create a fountain
A fountain of love that flow
Through the livers of affection

The air is so cool
The body needs to warm up
Make some baby Rain says
will cover up the sounds of the manufacturing industry....

What Is That
No race,
Non-descript,
Inexplicable,
It deserves a Hit,

Let's twist it and
turn it like a rubiks
cube,

It will reveal itself
or become unglued,

The pressure to label
is more prevalent than
ever,

So they scan to be clever,
Zapping the mutts and unexplained
of this world with one pull of their
unilever,
Xraying until their livers quiver,

"What is that?" They say in unison,
Hmmmm.....Perhaps it tastes like
venison?...

De-Livered
A British surgeon yearning for
Some immortality
Did laser his initials
On some livers, carefully.

His action was uncovered
When one liver didn’t heal;
With a second operation,
The initials did reveal.

I wonder at his motives
For if it were simply pride,
Why then etch his inspiration
In a place so deep inside?

In the end it doesn’t matter
For the courts will soon deliver
This strange surgeon and his hubris
To his new home up the river....
