Cricket serenade....

Sprinkled Hopes
monsoon clouds hover
over my burdens and pains
wafting breeze lilts..."fly!"
fly to your destiny -
sprinkled hopes came with the rain

Morning Doves
sing your song, morning doves
it lilts so sweetly on my ears
I know you are not singing to me
but in the stillness of this cool morning
before my day really begins
sing your song...

Lost In Melody
cuckoo's sweet warbling
across the woods and meadows
it's gently wafting —
as the lilts caress my ears,
I look for Keats' Nightingale

Answering Your Query
Shall I but relish every song
Of laughter graced from folks I meet;
Those lifetime tunes that chime along.
The dreamer in me sparks a way
For cares and trials, far from harm
Believing that hope lilts each day!

The Unfortunate Spider
He lilts upon a silken bed,
gossamer beauty in his web,
a small figure of black and red,
cliché yes, but it must be said
that I am amazed by the sight,
glints of fleet, yellowed sunlight,
the strands wave as if in flight,
briefest flash of purest white…
But he spun his web in my
bathroom, so…WHAM!!...

Lovelight
My lovelight for you never shadowed,
my heart ascends into the flames of
the churning restless sun in
the soul wounds of the bereaved.
Forever you're in all my season's dreams,
a dedication, a tribute-
cannot be lost into the cosmos.
It lilts in our songs and
shooting star's journeys,
and fills the elements with
a universal anthem of unending cherish. ~...

Solitude of Iris Incense Nightfall
Solitude of Iris Incense Nightfall
Still solitude drips saffron in sunsets
Twilight tinsel tames tangerine tempests
Lilac lullaby lilts lulling lyric –
Diadems of daydreams dulcet delight
Offers ochre cheerful companion of calm
Unruffled ultramarine universe
Ebb of eventide in ebony escape

.........
i climb inside my breath meeting purple light
bow of spine humming a gently- kissed timber,
toes, fingers stray along lyres of inner flight
on rippled hushes wading softly, chants glimmer;
even rain’s tunes outside succumb to soul’s night,
tempo of diaphragm lilts, whispers flutter
god of peace chimes, ascending inwardly
beaming with glow, i meet heaven's symphony

Beach Idyll: Spencerian Stanza
Sheer lucid waves caress this oyster beach,
an aqua drowse viewed through a saffron lend,
and siren rip tides coax into a breach
as lambent grains of sand insouciant wend
the dunes of torpid eons through the bend
of hourglasses warped like new-blown glass.
In half-remembered mimes soft breezes send,
behind my eyelids as sweet lilts amass,
the plucking of a lyre string as high seagulls pass.

The Passing
Through pink glasses aiming Northward
Arctic lights and arrows quiver
The city life drags the final sword
As a sugar shack lilts with the river
The bow is his selenite
Mantra to foe, making them shudder
The amulet is his kryptonite
A tiller man now with no rudder
Longer boats to take him away await
Tacking slowly to avoid live minds
Leave a trail of very odd gait
Lowering his remains below water lines...

Cb Tribute Contest One
While Broken Wings enchant with deep refrains,
Jo cleanses my night through her songs of hope…
As day ends, Laura’s love melody wanes
Till Jan pipes funny lilts…how can I mope?
