Heaven Needs You
Heaven needs you
Like I need a hole in the head
Call me an angel
But I’m Hell sent
Came up from the fire
To make your life miserable...

Old Straw Hat
The old straw hat was worn,
              Its top center was torn.
              Some scissors and thread,
Fixed the hole in its head.
Till it is worn out once more....

Untitled #4 / When His Wife Died
When his wife died after three months of marriage
the widower tried to fill the hole in his heart
with food, TV, cards, booze, Buddhism
but none could take her place
so instead
he put a hole in his head....

I Do Care
The way I stay up with you till
Three in the morning.
I care for you like a
Hole in my head.
If I didn't have you
I would be .
Love comes so easy to you
but it's just hard for me to do.
And trust me
I really do care....

Reality Bends
Repetition inversing,
   black hole in my head

In perpetual silence,
  words collapsing unread

Reality bending,
  rescinding the end

The beginning left virgin
  —repeating again

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2019)...

Fishwife of the Undead
In a cavern for all the Undead,
they examine the hole in her head,
when she opens her thighs,
maggots drop from her eyes
(it's the smell of sardines that they dread...)

written 23rd of May for Tania's Bawdy limerick contest...

Fed
Guilty As Sin
With A Wide Tooth Grin
Absolutely No Shame
Gonna Do It All Over Again
Lost In Space
Blank Look On Her Face
No Way To Come Down
Hoping To Be Finally Found
Hole In The Head
Face Is All Red
Dancing All Night Along With The Dead
Her Insatiable Hunger Finally Fed...

Tale of the Gun
The barrel was made
to be a hole in a head.

The hole in the head
was triggered by an aim.

Target shudders and stops
dead.
Blood spry is not an option.

Dead feral pig, dove, dead man?

Dead-end roads
slug shoulders.

The gun is hot,
another shot slams
into no future at all....

Stifling the Day
I hide the emptiness
digging a hole in the head, unending pain
bury a stiff smile
between huffs of breath

It's almost a mystery
it can almost be unheard
the cloud in my eyes, almost curling
too imperfect for words

I dig this smile into a hole
snatched by my last breath
as the wound reaches beyond
an imperfect heart...

One
I see a light from behind
The statue of hope
In the dark of my mind
Am I the only one here
In whats left of this town
In a world broken down

I wear this sorrow like a hole in the head
My demons block out the sun
leaving me as the one
The one who exists for no one
Who shoulders the burdens
To live with nowhere to run...

Hole In My Head
"Call me if you need me;"
To my husband, this I said.
So he replied, "I need you like
A (pause) hole in my head!"

In Yiddish, this expression
Translates to a "lokh in kop,"
A phrase I heard a million times
When I was growing up.

Though what we call "4-letter words"
Were naturally forbiddish,
You always could put someone down
With insults gleaned from Yiddish....

Cadaver, Godiva and Quiver
I believe that I've poisoned my liver

Pushcart on the ramp fell apart
I'm afraid I've damaged my heart

   Pencil Lead, Interbred, Seeing Red
I think I've a hole in my head

Had to beg for a keg of bootleg
     They just amputated both legs

Only one thing I dread even more
~ A fall from the bed to the floor...

Dang Yankees
DANG YANKEES

I got a hole in my head
I wish I was dead
Somebody shot a hole in me.

My ears are gone
I feel something's wrong
Why am I tied to this tree?

I want 'a go home
My buddies are all gone
Nothing here I want 'a see.

Yankees are winning
Seems they are all grinning
Not a safe place to be.

So all in all
I'm having a ball
Wouldn't you agree.

Dallas, Texas 1963
She scrambled
from where she sat
in the back seat
climbing onto the
trunk of that
long luxurious Lincoln
not to escape an
assassin's assault
as many assumed
but to collect the shards of
skull and bits of brain
that had been blown
back onto it as a bullet
blasted a hole in his head
his body lolling over to
lie limply in her lap
as her flowers fell to
the floorboard
sure that if she were
to stuff them back in
he would live again...

Premium Member Night of the Bore
Once upon a time.
She came with a dirty drill and bore a hole in my skull.
I was aware but didn't feel a thing.
She must have slipped a clove of ill intent.
Into my green tea dream.

What she took was placed in a tiny burlap bag.
What I'd lost was taken to a land called:
"Hey those are my gems, please give them back."
She never did, she just laughed.
Never bothering to back fill the hole in my head.

She disappeared into the night.
Into the owl's cold black eye....
