Premium Member Lit and With It

Singing in shed furthest corner of yard; lights are on in room.
Smoking in shack furthest back from house, mind is lit and with it.
Nobody to witness me, overhear anything, nor complain.

Another Day

Here I sit.
Another day, another day
The curtains drawn, the lights are on,
And Allen is speaking,
But not to me.
Blanketed skies, our movements are lies,
The world is aflame-
Another day.

Premium Member Antiquated Embryo

See me in the distant corner.
Imagine a dark room.
I’m in the fetal position.
I’m curled up in a ball.
Though, the lights are on…
You see…my legs a drag,
I boiled my hand, I strained
my hip. I’ll take one last stand.

Premium Member Mrs Shelly Is Having Difficulty

Ms. Shelly began to write.
Scratched it out.
Began again.
The lights are on, but no one is home.
Scribble Scribble

His dendrite field is nonexistent.
Scratch. Scratch.
She kept writing and scratching
What could she write on this child’s report card?

Christmas Spirit

The scent of Christmas
I’m smelling it here
All lights are on
As lanterns do swing.
Old songs of December
Sang by street kids
I started to flash back
Our last Christmas eve
The whisper of wind
Pleases my ears
It’s getting cold now
Christmas spirit is here!

Funny Thought For Today

If there are any police officers reading this...
    Please don't shave your head...

The reflection blinds the viewers of your dash camera footage when I see it on Cops.

It also looks like the flashing lights are on your head!

Premium Member I Can Hear the Bells

The ground is frozen, lights are on,
white frost on trees, cool early morn,
Robins on hunt for garden worms,
evenings by fire, singing psalms,
when Reindeers bring Santa on tow,
happiness, expectations grow!

Fear By Victoria Cloin 8th Grade

The lights are out
I cannot see
I have a strange feeling...
Who is there?

The lights are out
I'm all alone
I hear sounds...
What's out there?

The lights are out
I cannot sleep
It's dark and I cannot see...
What was that noise?

The lights are on
I feel much better
I see and hear nothing...
I can finally sleep

Wishful Thinking

I don't wanna be a wannabe no more waiting for opportunity to come a'knocking on my open door and the day she does tho' the lights are on there's no one home as I'll probably be out to lunch knowing me so I wanna see 'Been there, done that!' on my resumé because I'm oh-so tired of being a never-was

Gone 2

Gone 2

My lights are on
But I'm not home
I've gone to look for me.
It's on my own
That I have gone
In hopes of finding me.
I don't recall
The time at all
When I began to seek,
Or from the wall
The picture fall
That kept me on my feet.
I only know
As on I go
If you run into me...
Just say, "Hello."
And gently show
The pathway back to me.

Giving You Back

Though you were never mine...any how.
Be gone!
Sculptor of dreams
How wonderfully you tied
Each one with golden bows
Woven of fairy tales that teased
My damaged heart.
Be gone!
Back through the dark streets
Of Melancholy where you found me.
The lights are on now, and I can find
My way without you!
I give you back to the only one who
Understands you...
Yourself!

The Ground Sparkles

I do not see a star
the mist conceals the night
yet I can see you are
the brightest light in sight
slowly came the sparkles
winter dew aloft
the ground alive with moisture
glittering on the spot.

Following the highlights
spreading them afar
truly it is Christmas
but the lights are on the ground
millions of little sparkles
bright as new years eve
guiding me to twilight
till the darkness's all I see.

Christmas

It's the time of the year
Time for christmas cheer!
Friends and family are coming
To celebrate christmas together.

The smell of the sweets, traditional sweets
And; the bright lights are on the streets.
Snow is all around,
Much to the children's joy that surrounds!

Everything is decorated
O how beautiful is the Christmas tree!
O how perfect is the creche!
Everybody's singing carols to express

           Thy Christmas Spirit!

Premium Member Who Are the Embarrassed Ones

We had a special spark inside
Liquid fire spurs our souls
A moment of pure passion
Deep under the silver moonlight
We cover all the basis of mush
A whole grouping of love
In every part of ourselves
We seductively brought together
All moments of sexuality
Until it is known we are not alone
And we see the gathering here
Curiosity maybe at our lust
And full passion we did display
Now who are the embarrassed ones
For they don’t tarry when the lights are on

Black Sheep

When you walk in the room and feel the air speaking to you in silence
Due to your walk
Even when speaking to yourself one will not notice
For they will only notice the fall over a banana peel

Walk with your head up, this is told
For is one, so bold to look into their eyes
While they shame your birth

For when the lights are on
I walk in darkness
For when the lights are off
I walk into the light

For a black sheep is all they see
When the singing begins
I am forever their sin
