The Ground Sparkles

I do not see a star
the mist conceals the night
yet I can see you are
the brightest light in sight
slowly came the sparkles
winter dew aloft
the ground alive with moisture
glittering on the spot.

Following the highlights
spreading them afar
truly it is Christmas
but the lights are on the ground
millions of little sparkles
bright as new years eve
guiding me to twilight
till the darkness's all I see.

Nice little rhyme with wonderful meter. Thank you for your comments on my haiku. I suspect the troops are there to help with order as everything is chaos. Love, Joyce
