to brighten the world.

A Day Cometh
Emeka was starving in a lightless land
no passersby bothered to give him a hand.
Crystal tinkles in a nearby palace
wine flows from a silver-encrusted chalice.
Emeka dies alone; purple shall atone....

Lightless Night
Lightless Night

a struggle of dreams
night
without light
brightness is as scarce as water in the desert
pain rules
tress domintes
sorrowful contemplation
bitter meditation
lightless night.

Layin' Pipe
Large hands, coarse, are prayin’
Another day, layin’
Yet again! The pipe grows
Into the dark it flows
Neath the underground, toil!
Pushing dank sod till soiled
Into the lightless folds
Plundering till all’s cold
Ever thus, life unfolds…

Imaginning Non-Existence
Try imaginning it
When you were not.
Life, not conscious of.
'I'; nor that 'I'!

Once that most lightless
Of voids you spot
Blackest of black holes
Just dont apply.

The dismay, despair...
Terror - the lot.
Yond God to seek; who
May not be nigh!...

The Crime of Poetry
The tongue
Like the pen
Or the key board
Or the type writer
Will
sooner or later
become a gun
Aimed at the heart
Always ready to go off.
When it does
You must learn to call the lightless room of the soul
A natural home
Or lose your name in the felony of art....

Frozen Memory
I climbed the face
     of a lightless dawn
glossed in silent frost
     between
wanting
and
     knowing
naught.

From above fell my tears
crystal
     upon your eyes turned
beyond.

I watched you out of sight
and
     left you there
on the down side
fading
     into yesterday gone....

Premium Member Into Your Night
Spill your night over my day,
Put your lightless moods,
Like black clouds,
Over my sun,
So your own shines.

I’d take your darkness,
Gather it with my own
Into a whole day of night,
Mine alone.
Over and over.

And knowing your light is returned,
Feeling for you your sadness,
Still feel gladness....

Dissolving Holiness
Becoming blind
in lightless depth;
between the faults
we meet.

Moving the wheels.
I was the sound;-
spreading across the
unspoken epiphany.

Flirting with inevitable
doom, you crash on
the poems of –
raging green.

A tongue wants a
novelty of death,
in the arms of
the frozen light.

The Wisdom of Shadows
Like shadows I shrink
when the earth tilts towards life
and struggles into long depressions
when tilted into death.

Perhaps
I've listened too long
to the wisdom of gray sprites;
never going deeper
than the light

else

the darkness might steal
my substance
and hoard it
in the lightless purse
of a moonless night....

After Sunshine
Be my soul in outrageous
sunshine of knowledge.
I need a shade of tears.

The barrels were still smoking
after the war.
I will not wake up in morning.

Lightless the day will mourn
for the fallen moon
on the breast of a hill.

Tear down the curtain.
Let me sea the face of death.
I have a long debt to pay.

Gift Horse(Second Hand Christmas Tree)
Christmas tree full of lights
What is the problem with your center?
darkness, darkness just like nights

starless, lightless tree center
unholy curses escape, unholy lips
murderous thoughts enter

branches remove and assemble tips
try and connect an electrical
circuit, help, help light the eclipse

unoriginal, typical, abnormal deal!!...

Soleil
A new life is there, we see it as it dawns
A new day with song and brightness
It watches as the old gets tired and yawns
And then passes into a lightless place
That‘s out of reach and forever gone
The two shall never touch but run away
Chasing their own shadows to another day
To just to begin again the same tomorrow
And forever wanting to touch that way...

In the Meadow
Through the atypicalities of due process
I wrench my ever-rusted ribcage off it's
Hinges-

Sunlit paradigms,
Dust crusted smiles;

A gaping canyon, I cast toward you
A lightless cavity,
A nothing-prison of brittled bones
Which, caked with dried blood from when
My Heart imploded,

Roll and click against eachother like marbles
In the wicked mouth of fiction...

Ablaze
The spark ignited and threatened the paper
The corners curled and burned black
 ablaze in reds
It left behind the black ashes
Of regret
It closed into the center
The trail of uncontrollable
Disaster
The smoke obscured reality
And left the surroundings in a lightless poisonous cloud
Choking on the only air there was left
Until it was devoured all alone...

The Other Side: of Suicide
Year after year you've attempted to die,
While I hold your kids as they cry.
Both of us surviving similar pasts,
But now have chosen different paths.
Attempting to take yourself away,
From pain filled children on birthdays!!
Refusing to take the parental role,
Focusing on a lightless hole.
Expecting them to suddenly forgive,
When they question if you'll choose to live....

Premium Member Took a Poem To a Knife Fight
I lost my mind
somewhere
between the seconds ticking
God left
and the devil punched in

Stray winds
dark and long
blew coldly on my paper sails
as
things I thought I knew
sank away
down into lightless fathoms

And when
in answer to my begging letters
a bashful dawn bled in
I made her promises
that somewhere
deep within
I knew
I’d only go and break...

Love Poem
There was a moment, it flashed over us
like lightning at midday.

We should have looked away
but then the living daylights
transformed us
into two undying prayers.

Black cats in lightless rooms
communicated in Brail.
Our hearts danced
among the scattered bones
of fallen angels.

Our friends understood, we were done
with just living,
we were heaven-deep in love,
heads above the stars....

Safe Passage
There are times
when the tips of your oars
Impede on me
In the lightless night
When even the stars
are feeling sour and rejected.

Your menacing tongue
Collects the water
and pushes past me
with wordless strokes
For I am nothing more
than the inanimate cat tail strangers
tangled on the shore.

You do not love me even a little
and still
you drift through the only quiet passage in my heart....

Premium Member Shadow
A shadow during the twilight which may obscure the appearance of a

human body that seeks to be seen; However, the dark side of the

shadow extinguish the lightless side of the Human body or it's

     existence.

A Shadow can be seen as a two-faced being that obfuscate the

situation at hand. One would have to be very clever to interpret

the subliminal message of a shadow....

Mind the Mind
That mind that talks to you,
sees you only
as the bodily extension of its madness.
It does not know you, or you it.

It is time to dismiss
the black cat in the lightless room,
it constantly cries to come in
or go out
for it knows you are nowhere to be found.

Let thinking be aware that it is thinking,
it will become an intelligence,
something useful
to be let out or let in,
but know it will never know you,
nor you it -
never....

Premium Member The Single Eye of Light
The body is a blur
if it has no light
but can only come by the eye
the lightless body an awful sight

Light comes in by the eye
it's the lamp that's shining
eliminating the whole body
like Jesus our king

Keep your eye in good health
so then the rest will be the same
then all of you will be light
killing the darkness in it's shame

An eye full of darkness
nothing is so dark
so remedy it with light
as the herald angels sing hark

Ballad of Golden Lacquer
Without your touch the world is bleak.
The sun is lightless
Compared against your radiance,
So bright I’m sightless.

Coincidence will not explain
How right this all seems.
The comfort felt in our embrace.
The sensuous dreams.

Perfection can’t, in truth, exist.
Allow destruction.
A fracture can be mended whole
With apt instruction.

A golden joining strengthened by
Commiseration.
Your hand in mine, we start again
On new foundations....

Followed
I had a dream
A horrific one, I deem
I saw a shadow
One of a man taller by ten, he seem
He had two pointed edges at his head
His body seemed to disapparate like heating lead
His legs never moved
But he was chasing me
desperately,
Through this alien light
Behind me
He was snarling, trying to grasp me, blight
I looked back from the gate
And I saw
A corrupted version
Of me
And he
was chained back into the.
Dark,
Lightless,
Mirthless,
Void....
