Frozen Memory

I climbed the face
     of a lightless dawn
glossed in silent frost
     between
wanting
and
     knowing
naught.

From above fell my tears
crystal
     upon your eyes turned
beyond.

I watched you out of sight
and
     left you there
on the down side
fading
     into yesterday gone.
