Under the bright of moonlight!

Rocks can float in dreams
vapor light as a feather
clouds made of granite

Smiles and positivity
Makes the weight of an elephant
Feel lighter than an ant.
With our minds unburdened
And hearts free,
We can fly away
And experience freedom
What pales in comparison is the flame of the lighter
To the fires of the gold sun which always burns all the brighter.
I light my cigarette beneath the shining morning sight.
The sun provides me light from without
My faith provides it from within
On days when no light shines on my skin
What’s within dispels any doubt
Sometimes I do not know what to think,
so I sit down and have a stiff drink,
my view becomes brighter,
and my thoughts are lighter...

This is my favourite time of day,
Morning, as day starts anew.
The darkness turns to lighter grey
Which soon dispels to brilliant blue.
Birds start singing, as if on cue.
Feet propped up,
creaky chair,
worn blue jeans,
sweat dripping off my nose,
flick of a lighter,
long drag,
let it out,
lipstick stained cigarettes,
and a good ole summer day.
