When abject fear visits me
Puffs up like Simon Legree
Consciously yet so sweetly
Ignore myself completely

Premium Member Such a Rowdydow
There was such a rowdydow
When she said she was gay
Her brother will not come out
He says “Absolutely no way!”

Will it be different when Daddy dies?
Doubtful actually.
Their mother takes her direction
From her husband, Simon LeGree....

Premium Member If I Can Just Get To That Tree
A spotted leopard in a banyan tree,
Kept his yellow carnivore-ic eyes on me.
I knew better than to move fast or try to flee.
Big cats love a chase like Simon Legree.
His eyes narrowed, but I refused to see.
How fast that cat was chasing after me.
If I can just get to that tall tall…....

Premium Member Beyond Inspiration Wall
A faerie village is a marvelous place to be.
If you ever find yourself petite and small.
Pure of heart travelers will discover an oak tree.
Beyond the west side of inspiration wall.

An ethereal faerie may soon dance to thee.
Let her read your fortune in her crystal ball.
Stay away gophers and birds that ‘chee’.
Simon LeGree is still out here, after all....

Premium Member the love of her life
He was the love of my life, Pat said
Walter’s relatives forgot to tell her he was dead.
We were almost married five times, bragged she.
Walter was mean to her, a Simon Legree.

We almost this, we almost that, we bought a dog, a bird, a cat.
I paid the money, but it was worth it, said the delusional Pat.
No one had told her that Walter was dead.
This should have put a clue in her crazy head....

Premium Member Sexy Frog did not Listen to her Mother
Sexy frog was almost too svelte to meet the queen
The queen is corpulent and ugly, rarely seen
Do not dress too well, her mother cautioned her.
But Sexy frog was not subtle, and in no way demure.

So sexy frog showed off a glowing glittery dress.
Her nails were done, and her hair not a mess.
The Rubenesque queen toad was angry as could be.
She locked sexy frog up in the dungeon with Simon Legree....

Premium Member Chicken With a Thousand Legs
Chicken with a thousand legs so bright
Why do you do what you do to me?
Your clog dancing kept me up all night!
From now on this is what had better be….
Lay off booze, chicken. You are way too tight!
Unless you want me to be Simon Legree.
Chicken with a thousand legs so loud.
Why do I hear you all night in my dreams?
Why do you annoy me with yesterday’s cloud?
Would you rather be baked, fricasseed or steamed?...

Premium Member Please Tell Me About You
Paragon of virtue you might be
Hidden assets many cannot see.
Tis true you are no Simon Legree.
But are you as pure as a chickadee?

I know you’re an artist but no Paul Klee.
You like car races, have been to the Prix.
You enjoy shopping, enjoyed many a spree.
Share your feeling, but there’s no guarantee.

Give me your ideas from A to Z.
Share enthusiasm with a tiny bit of glee.
I want to sit right here by your left knee.
Feel free to share your expertise with me....
