There was such a rowdydow When she said she was gay Her brother will not come out He says “Absolutely no way!” Will it be different when Daddy dies? Doubtful actually. Their mother takes her direction From her husband, Simon LeGree.

So the husband is an abusive person like Simon LeGree who had Tom flogged to death. No wonder the children had sexual identity problems. Enjoyed reading your work. How are you holding up since school started back. Sara

Good poem, Caren. So real, so true. I like your word "rowdydow." I'm supposing it means "brouhaha?" Women who take their direction (their thought processes, opinions, and perspectives) from their husbands give me a severe and lingering headache!

I have a close family member who has to "ask her husband" what their opinion is" before she can tell me what she "thinks". The craziest part, is....she has done this with all three husbands.
