Slanted

• I've never really noticed how slanted the walls look • Almost like they're about to fall • I'd once leaned on them, they started to creak • Echoing through the hall

Premium Member Dad

Dad was a man of good virture.
He always knew what best to do.
He was handsome, he had some brawn.
He showed us respect, and much care.
He listened to our problems there.
He was the hero we leaned on.

Just Like the Wind

Just like the wind,
you swept into my life—
swirled around me.
I leaned on you
to keep from falling.
But the wind
stirred dust
that filled my eyes;
I shed many tears.
When I finally
blinked them clear,
the air was still,
and you were gone.
Just like the wind.

Premium Member Hi

Hi !

Fashionable Rosy leaned on a post.
With posy of rose came close
      Middle class guy Bobby
      getting down from a lobby,
       addressed to propose,
‘Hi !’ I love you most.’

Unconditionally Cass

tonight I leaned on the pillow of tears,
of memories, of your blue gaze,
I leaned on the same pillow of yours for years,
I gathered your tears inside me,
and I converted them to happiness,
and then I cried too,
I cried so you can hug happiness, when you rest your head on the pillow again.

Selfish

Is it selfish
to want to be myself?
Even if that self
doesn’t care as much
as who I pretend to be?

Is it selfish
to want help
even though sometimes
I don’t want to help others?

Is it selfish
to be tired of being leaned on
like a tree holding stones?
Even if my trunk has bent
beyond repair?

Am I selfish?

Thanks Kids

There comes a time in our life
when we want to be set free
When our job is now all done
From Responsibility

To you who have leaned on us
from the time that you were born
Although our age is showing
Our hearts are a little worn

Please do know that it's okay
It's fine if you don't stop by
We'd like to be alone now
Love from your mother and I

Thanks Kids

Premium Member An Old Shovel

I'm just an old shovel, who loved spooning around
Scooping up and over again, the same old ground
I’ve handled jobs, few others would call profound
Always piling high, and patting down a big mound
Some folks leaned on me, if no seats to be found
Then gave me a shoulder, when homeward bound
When on the scrap heap, I never made one sound
Got shafted damn good... but, I’m on the rebound

To Hope Apocalyptic

He leaned on his sword
They had asked for backup
He had arrived in time
The bloodied waters..
Was all he could now fathom
Summoned to avert..
A crises of epic proportions
The price was but too high
The cry ascending
To the very heavens
Whispers of mercy..
Angels descending..
The battle had raged fierce
But now they had a lull
The worst was over
Yet why did he feel so empty
To hope and trust..
His calling was but just

First School Dance

FIRST SCHOOL DANCE

It was a dance
Like any other
Half the girls
Danced with their brothers
I stood there against the wall
Tossing up a volleyball
I leaned on the coke machine
Then I saw him smart and lean
Smiled at me--I felt the dart
WOW I thought THIS IS THE START
When he walked across the room
Winter snow had magic bloom
Blushes crept along my face
As he neared my shadowy place
Then he turned abruptly right
His love object—Diet Sprite.

Poor Career Choice

POOR CAREER CHOICE

Surely all the revolving doors
At the front of a busy office building
Need a union office on one of the floors
For their complaint handling.

Their whole existence is so transparent -
Getting pushed around by everyone,
Every day another day spent
Being leaned on and spun,

Just going round in circles in vain,
Turning this way and that like a carousel at a fair.
They should rightly complain
That their careers are leading nowhere.

Premium Member i want to play chess on somebody's head

we sat down and i offered my hand
he didn't see it, with his head down
and said black decides where the clock is
positioned
it was discovered it wasn't working
so i fetched the microwave
to position next to the board
he
put on his chess gloves
my mother became a
backseat chess player,
then removed her lemon pudding
from the microwave
we continued
Jericho entered the room and leaned on my shoulder
he said
i'm
just
checking
on
you
mate

Boring

Boring (...)
....
I closed the windows, turns off the lamps..
And leaned on the wait,
Surrounded by machinations of fear and your name.
...
Night is between us and approaching
Walking through us as we walk in it.
Looking for windows in us..
As we look for the exit in it.
...
Tremble,oh curtains and contemplate,
You became a sword fights..
The day laugh and dancing on
The flute soul and the whining.
...
Boring and ..
The silence witness and the absence.
