Early Fall

Nearing the end of our summer days Warmth and sunshine as sleepily we lazed With the sun's warm rays June's promising days Looking to summer's quiet morning haze

Vietnam Reflections 38

vietnam reflections 38

days were younger then
longer and sweeter
we lazed forever
by the ocean's ebb
oblivious
of the web
being woven
by old men
in dark clothes
behind darker doors
pushing us past the
brink of war

Summer

There once was a young lady from Bligh
Who wilted when temperatures got high
So she lazed in the shade
And she drank lemonade
And said, "Wake me when Autumn is nigh."

Summer In the Sun

SUMMER IN THE SUN
There was a young man from Verdun Who lazed in the hot summer sun. He reclined, all revealing, Till his skin started peeling, Then he said, “I reckon I’m done” 11th June 2020 Summer Laziness Contest Sponsor - Mohan Chutani

Seasons Simplest To Know

SIMPLEST to know
Spring beauty floral flowing
The steamy summer
The autumn leaves crinkle down
untouched pristine snow fall found

Snow ball fight and flight yes,
Suppressed now tired and lazed
Snow angels there's an angle
Heaps of snow on cars
Snow plow isn't plowing now

It was time to go
Inside for hot cocoa

All That Noise

Geese flap their screeching wings
What's with all the mindless chatter,
It's rest time on a lazed Sunday
Am I not supposed to feel mellow?

The noise gets louder, what is it they want?
Now, I'm getting annoyed by bird stunts!
This ploy for attention tweaks me,
And my coffee, soiled like feather dust!

Love In Norway

There was a young lady from Norway
Who lazed in the light of her doorway
The young men came and went
When their last cent was spent
And it cost some extra for foreplay

The young lady was soon put in jail
She had no one to put up her bail
Failures now she could see
Should have given some free
To ensure the next time she'd not fail

Pottery

If I had some clay
I would work with it
To create a vase
or make a soap dish

Working with wet clay
Ins easy to work with
Making it into something
To be so proud of

The large items made
on the potter's wheel
It takes time to shape
Making objects right

After twelve hours made
Then into the kilm
Next to be sanded
After that g;lazed

Then painted again
Returned to the kilm
Once more again
Then apply the felt

Simply Then a Bio

When I was young,in summer sun
the excitement of life,just begun,
hours seemed like days, and days
by brooklets,still,we lazed;
When I was young,in poverty
simple pleasures were had ,for free
improvisation was our key,
for sport,fishing or climbing tree;
When I was young,before tv
books and radio were for me,
putting a face to voice and place
the birth of creativity.

Frugal times, spent so close to home
sans shopping malls and telephone
