Words march
To a kettle
Drum beat,
We are told
They bring
Clarity to
Thy soul
These words,
I cherish
More than gold
Tea kettle whistles;
As the life evaporates,
The brew soothes the soul.
In Loving Memory of Granny Pearl's Heavenly Homecoming
After dinner I boil
A kettle of water
I choose the T
Pour the water
Then add teabag
Make my T strong
Putting honey and lemon
To enjoy my tea,
A weak ego
frequently goes ablaze
In the dark kettle of criticism,
And becomes more cold.
Without its companion woes
shrinks and breaks in silence.
A watched pot never boils
But this pot’s callin the kettle black
Keep watchin and it’ll burn your eyes out
It's a good start
To something I could never finish
Split Decision
The world may be troubled by its grief and toil,
but our kettle for tea is on the boil.
. for public domain
There’s a story bout Hansel and Grettel
And the last time that they tried to meddle
With a crafty old witch
That they couldn’t ditch
She cooked them up in a fine kettle
Bernie Sanders should never assume
Donald Trump will not lower the boom
I have no wish to spoil it
But both squat on the toilet
Wondering why they came in the room . . . .
you may think that soy is not made of metal
but i saw james hetfield filling his kettle.
full of that sh$% in the vegan isle.
so i just starred at him for awhile.
Light the oven with a spark
Wearing paper gloves in the dark
Add water: a litre
From a distance of a metre
Add a rampant stinging nettle
Then its ready: a chocolate kettle
“Wander Lust and The Need For Adventure”
Showered in soft kettle-drums
Music softly eddies
To purple robed hills
Melody wanders toward
The streaming chant of
Mediterranean Sea.
The smoke tasted similar to
tea-kettle steam, mixed with
the least cozy of rustic
woodland incenses, forming
a cruelly mellow and inconsequential
flavor, bland to mind, body, and spirit.
Placid pond I leave,
now a fine kettle of fish
Lake lacks Life I grieve.

My heart fizzles; like hot kettle,
glows red and burns hands
trying to nestle.
Love is hard when life is heated,
So stay clear,
that your mind won't get fogged
with this heated steam.
Trump May Meddle
In many lives Trump may meddle
Won't wait until smoke does settle
More time is beginning to bide
After he has lied and lied
What next is cooking in his kettle.
Jim Horn
Blowing a whistle out of nowhere,
a warning at the witching hour.
It’s meant for a rooster’s crow,
not a moonlit silence.
Tea kettle alarms
start an upsurge.
Shift your eyes
to the
void.
When the kettle screams,
I become the steam~
a ghost unspooling
from its copper ribs.
Bones click like stove dials,
skin hums with the hiss
of a pressure gauge
punctured by a hit and a miss.
Kettle of destiny
Kite that pervades the sky
King of nature’s highway
Kills the lesser lamp's light
Kiln that forges the seen
Kindles the dying glow
Kind and unkind to us

Vultures roam about a hundred miles a day
In search of carrion, survival's at play
Not the thrill of the kill
But for tummies to fill
Their kids called kettle, quickly gobble the prey
Grasping a plot
from my store of meddles
I spread,
near the sink,
verbs and nouns
I've found.
Cleaving each
to a size
then heated derive
a fragrant misty theme.
. . .to be continued. . .
Birds baked in pies, babies rocked out of trees
Kids all falling down from some dreadful disease
Young Hansel and Gretel
May wind up in a kettle
What tormented minds write stories like these?

Kettle, Pond and Lake - HAIKU SERIES
kettle...
a whistled cuppa...
tainted water
pond...
a garden feature...
frog croaking...
lake...
inland sea...
fish cavorting...
An Eagle whose name is Don Henley
To media isn’t so friendly
He wrote “Dirty Laundry”
Left press in a quandary
But sneers at the poor from his Bentley

Our ex-Pres is now laying it all bare
At Joe Biden, he wants to spit and swear
Pot’s calling the kettle black
Barack, take another tack
You look like hell yourself with that gray hair
Warmth
A kettle whistles in the kitchen.
Sun warmed snowflakes pond
on the surface of a frozen lake.
