I nside where it remains.
L ike a dam that allows
E scape of overflow.

H earts that have suffered
E normous hurts.
A re fragile beyond repair.
R efusing to repeat mistakes.
T errified of trusting again.
S uch a crying shame....

Ardently, she sweeps away weary winter,
Preening her plumage, the year's infant peacock;
Rivers swell and rise, heavy life breasts.
Incandescent, she fires earth's darkness, sparking spring's fuse,
Liberating ice-encapsulated souls, warmth starved.

U-nderneath the blue sky; 
E-vening chill disappears,
