You have written a lovely Acrostic in which the need for rain takes centre stage, Sara. We too are in need of rain after a really hot, dry summer. ~ Regards // paul

Paul, We got about 2 inches late yesterday, during the night and into this morning and it is still sprinkling. So thankful. We needed it badly. Thanks for the kind review of my work. Sara

Love the poem, Sara, and the history, hope you get some rain soon. Over east here in Aussie, they had rain falling by the feet for weeks now, with wide spread flooding.

Harry, I had not heard of that one the news but could have just missed it. It is worse than awful when that happens. I always feel for the people involved. Sometimes the loss of life of whole families, destruction of property and things changed forever. Thanks for your visit to my page. Sara

The droughts are a terrible malady, and then to see too much water washing away lifetimes of hard work, home and life in horrible floods elsewhere. SAD! I hope rain comes to your area soon Sara, a sweet gentle rain <3

BJ, There is a system coming our way maybe Thursday and Friday. It is probably going to be hurricane strength and we will get some rain out of the outer bands plus wind. The last time we had one to come though we did not get any rain. It all went below us. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Sara, your poetry is really well written. Rain is essential for all living things; nevertheless, there is widespread drought. Best wishes for the contest

Yes, so many areas are suffering from a dry period. Some places have flooded some during this same period. Thanks for dropping by and the best wishes. Sara
