Premium Member The Class Clown
He disrupts the class with pranks;

            draws attention to himself.

              Another day of mischief.

                The teacher is irked.

Liked hooch

Got smashed
Wife bashed

Clyde bluffed
Cops cuffed

In jail
No bail

Plea made
Fine paid

Judge says

Wind and Grind - Sg
Just like the pleasant zephyr blowing cool and calm turns and churns into a storm, boisterous gale bomb, Longsuffering mind can suffer wrong for that long, then life’s an irked grind. 06.26.2021

Bill Mauldin, the innovative creator of GIs Willie and Joe,

   Irked Georgie Patton but thankfully Ike told him where to go!

Billy told it like it was for the grubby grunts in the grime and mud.

   Georgie couldn't abide Billy's barbs 'cause he was an old fuddydud!

Premium Member Buried Flowers
Cold snow covered all tombs and lanes,
Still he strewed the coffin with sprays
of flowers, to lessen his pains.
He uttered a few words of praise.
But snow showers
Buried flowers.

He recited poetic strains
Could only look down in a daze.
Hot tears fell upon her remains
Yet snow veiled all in a cold haze,
Irked and harried,
All sprays buried....

My neighbor Mike loves karaoke
Who sings off-tune a Hokey Pokey;

          Grinds he with delight
          But it's twelve of night...

Irked, my alarm whips that voice croaky.

Demiquaver Crochet Crumbling
boobs bountifully blushing
under felon fingers
birthing bewitched bruises
mystic melody fixes
demiquaver crochet crumbling
callous coda smirking

frown squashed smirk
munchies, melody irked
la-de-da labium lurched

mirthful nipples moaning
punctured fluid puking
trailing Taylor's tongue

zeal crushed passion
boom! eerie erection.

daddy must have told me

Don't scold a lady, son. She will eviscerate you with precision
mama did tell me
Always be humble and kind. Yes, even when irked. Please forgive me, Ma

I Real Love
I real love
Loving you
Indeed
I real love your loving
I real love you

You make me happy
When I’m irked, because
I real love your loving

You make me laugh
When I’m angry, because
I real love your loving

I can chase and fly with bees
To touch and hold your kisses
I real love your loving

I smile, I sleep and waking up in love
I real love loving you
I real love your loving....

Referendum Might Work
Referendum might work

Minority groups control the world
Most people have no say
Do we want political correctness, no
Will the masses have their day

If you look back to the 1960s
Back when the system worked
Back when the police got respect so swiftly
And the teachers discipline Irked

Parents can’t control their kids
Mothers driven crazy
Don’t spank the child it’s not did
A slap over the wrist for Daisy

The man they had remembered:
Was the smart guy dismembered:
The chap they'd shown Exit Door;
Saved not A - Shall Be - Washed Ashore...

Quiet but tricky Gordon,
A lot irked by his burden,
Thus choosing The Damned Short Road,
So as to self save gross load:
With Satan's ready assistance
Won't have to go the distance...

So, they had said to him shame;
Now, they want to him reclaim
Case of Benefit of doubt;
He would not again rules flout....

Godfrey G' G' Gore
Godfrey Gordon Gustavus Gore —?
Was a boy who wouldn’t shut a door!?
Winter came in that year of yore-?
Sleet blew in and covered the floor. ?
Summer came with its bugs galore—?
Flies and gnats, cicadas and more.
?At last his parents, irked full sore,?
Shipped him away to Baltimore.*

Premium Member Change the Is To Was
He once thought her little nuances were cute,
Appealing just because.
But then it irked the hell out of him,
So he changed their “is” to “was”.

She once felt an authentic urge for him,
He was her sexy just because.
But then she had no attraction, nothing,
So she changed their “is” to “was”.

They hadn’t broken up and moved on with life,
And they drove just because.
Driving when an argument erupted,
Their headstones changed their “is” to “was”....

I’m irked by journal publishers who claim,
“We love ALL types of poetry. Please send
your best—free verse or formal. We accept
up to five poems. First, we recommend
you read at least two issues.” So I do—
from front to back and find no rhymes at all,
no meter! Someday I’ll respond to them,
“You DON’T print formal verse, and you have gall!”

Premium Member Terry, a Naughty Boy - Nursery Rhyme
Terry tried to cross the wall with one bound;

And had his two front teeth crowned!

Near his granny's house, a lake he found;

Not knowing beans about swimming, he drowned;

And gallons of muddy water he downed!

Not sitting quiet, he irked an angry hound;

Catching his calf, it got his muscle almost a pound!

All around, all the time, thus he clowned!!
