I can’t sleep.
Maybe it’s the drugs
Or maybe
Its the murder of crows
That sit outside my window.
I’m afraid to close my eyes.
Insomnia is nothing
Of good gain a silent strain
Sleeplessness chronic the pain
A problem, one solution
Sleeplessness resolution
Another
Restlessly
Wakeful night
Thoughts keep on
Dusk till dawn
Sleep walking
Close my eyes
One more try
Oo, popcorn!
I ponder the world’s problems in the twilight of my sleepless hours
By morning my own troubles rise once again to reclaim their powers
I lie alone
A bed of stone
My skin's on fire
So I can't sleep
Your eyes fill mine
In sweet decline
The dream's a liar
A lie I'll keep.
There are only two cures
for insomnia,
says the shrink,
sex and death.

CORPORAL SLEEP

Lucid dream machine
Still counting electric sheep
Android who can't sleep
The white unicorn
Seeks out the virgin maiden
who's the replicant?
Eyes shot of hell's crimson,
Hands octopussed on keys,
He dreams of the morrow,
While at Facebook, he gazed.

I'm
tired
Eyes wide shut
Insomnia
has destroyed my dreams
Just want to sleep
Is that to
much to
ask?

Absence by Shane Cogan
Lost at summer clock
Insomnia blue skies
Absent minded bliss
Night’s restless rodent,
I just nod off all day long.
I am nocturnal.
Insomnia
Bridge to paranoia
Sleep
Brother to death
Insomnia
Born of worries
Sleep
Brings in peace
Insomnia
I become lost
Sleep
Please find me
I don’t care what
the experts say,
sleep is such
elusive prey,
except when I’m at
work. But hey…
…can’t sleep at
night, so I crash in
the day.
Big problem for Little Bo-Peep:
Frisky lambs would not let her sleep
Then one afternoon
A ram made her swoon
And that's when she learned to count sheep!
Insomnia,
Besets the darkness.
While the sultans of slumber caress my iris
To usher a sweet, but faint nightmare,
From pleasant dream to pleasant dreams.
Deep green eyes wide shut
Hears strange voices in his mind
Refined gentlemen
Loses sense of sanity
Madness sad reality

Deprived of sleep
I need to dream
Scared to breathe
I wanna scream
My body aches
My eyes are Dry
The sun rises
As I kiss the thought of sleep
Goodbye.
Exhaustion creeps into bed with me
And wipes his grey paws all over my eyes.
Insomnia dances around in my sheets,
And kicks the old dog till the showing of skies.
Insomnia
tick, tock

tick, tock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obscurity broken midst night visions
Haunting evil thrust in flight amongst stars
Sleep will not come tonight

Can't sleep
Count sheep
So weary
Eyes bleary
Relax
Sandman sacked
Get up
Make tea
Drink three
Dear me
Glance at clock
Get a shock
Sunrise
Closed eyes
On tangled plots and idle thoughts
The mind can fathom deep
In vast detail each bunny trail
Whenever I should sleep
