what do we feel beyond boundaries of form
teased by the sun and kissed by the breeze
is the moon inert if it reflects light soft white
regulating both our mood and tides with ease

obscurities
darkness blinks afar
inert rug fronds made alive
plumes confuse stillness

My tears and ink mingle as one,
I write sadness from my grief and heart;
there is no stopping my words once begun,
'til my pen is empty and inert . . .
Each day the airwaves brings an expert
Leaves one in awe a trifle inert
There they are on the telly
Advice on setting a jelly
Enough to put one off their dessert.

a lament for forgotten yesterday
a muted sigh for a vanished past
what becomes of a new tomorrow
what remains of this inert today
shackled by nostalgia
searching
ever searching
for that other, better way
Form:
An attenuated tree branch reaches out to its drowning shadow in the inert millpond.

Personification is a poetic device and not a poetic form, hence me labeling this 'prose poetry'.
I'm dreaming of fantastic hurt
to my stomach which once was inert.
A cringe of the can,
the binge of the man
consumed by a beverage called Squirt.

The "Pick a beverage, any beverage..." contest.
The colors of love,
Are intense, inert.
Like a music obscured,
Dismantled, Dispersed.
A stimulating surge,
Like dimensions convert.
Billions poetries,
The wind carries,
With lighting speed
Like a cloud of dirt.
The selfsame words are ours to use
in manner of our choices.
They lie in helpless, inert piles
until maneuvered by our pens.

Four lines taken from my free verse poem "Words".

stethoscope ends
emerged from ears,
lady vet’s task
then grimly done—
take your time here,
offered her aide
while tears seeped up
as faithful dog,
grown feebly-old,
lay still, inert,
after last breath:
sad, lonely choice,
my only one.
Sweat is the other garment
You wear in the desert
When the only water is in the cactus
And all but the flies are inert
But a cool layer of sweat
Is a hiker’s proof of award
For taking a thin trail
And in curiosity, moving forward.
What if God
is an eternal being of light
that manifests himself
s the substance of all things
living within the inert and moving forces
of life on the earth
All in a single will
to know himself
within the fullest possibilities
of time and space
Unwritten poems
remain unsaid..
..dead:
where do they go?
these no show!
forever
they lie inert..
missing
the light of day:
Do you think
they still have
something
to say?
The determined feet on the march
The inert soul trampled for the goal to reach
The walker’s heart the broken road can’t reach.
In the circle around me you orbit
The energy burnt sets you in revolving state
To the centre of my universe you won’t gravitate.
CASTRATED
In ebony
air on flight
through night
nothing is
big or too
far off
figuratively
speaking streams
forgetful surf
high pitch screams
sandpits churn
tough turf
a wastage
of
egg rock

There is a vortex in every locomotive
that is at once inert and in moto perpetuo
Beneath that vortex lies a feeling, a veritable
epicenter of grief from which springs the only
real compliment to sentient life and to which
our species has attached the name of suffering.
blank blink a neon inert gas
why bother if idle I can fart
the light of las vegas and a divorce not need reno
as never married I am merry
you guys never saw it coming
as so comely she always said no
to the ring of spar the arena of fun
chaos a kaos of bleed a nose I won
If we are here and God out there,
organic form should be inert
but since His breath makes us aware,
is how bliss beats within us spurt.
It’s clear that ego’s our fault line,
corrected when head-heart align
and no sooner we disappear,
the truth of oneness becomes clear.
Sleep not in any side of him
death and not him we should fear
in pews aisle I walk no more
but in the aisle of aged tombs
with my candle and my weaving wreath
upon your gentle soul I still love
how inert he was when death came
sleep not in any of his sides .

A silent scream cannot be seen
Nor captured within our hearing
It lies inert somewhere between
Our normalcy and our fearing
A silent scream is colored green
When envious matters may strike
And one so preen becomes so mean
With quiet rage and hate alike
a light
frost whitens
the frozen verge-
inert below,summer
awaits
