Broadsided

broadsided
emotional
collision
forcefully
pushed
sideways
when it
hit the heart
indiscriminately
resulting in
an emotional
eruption

Collateral Damage

A babbling tongue,
Is like a weapon of mass destruction;
It indiscriminately destroys,
And disables, with harsh words,
Those targets, who to it,
Are of no consequence.

Murder By Tongue

A prattling tongue,
Is like a heat seeking missile,
Or ordnance of mass destruction,

It indiscriminately destroys,
And disables, with harsh words,

Those targets, who to it,
Are of no consequence;

Proverbs 17:4

Lockdown

abhorrent aberration of freedom restraint
due to a virus toxic to taint
indiscriminately poisoning justification
fear mongering media increasing pervasion
bigger heads gorge greater merriment
whilst executing each experiment.

Panglossian Exuberance

Listen to poem:
Seeds sprout roots and shoots
on barren ground and fertile fields alike.
Indiscriminately rash,
with no probe of prospect forthcoming.
Zest and zeal denies diligence in dalliant dash
   to proliferate at a rate,
   that cons concocted gains
in the game of natural selection.

Youth

A youthful face, but no brains:
Time the deceiver – I think back,
to all I thought I knew that it has
taken me a lifetime to unlearn: Oh
the labyrinths the spirit travels!~till
at last realizing the poverty it has
impressed on its own soul – Youth,
full of beans, gassing the world
indiscriminately!

Wood Cutter

Twigs, branches and climbers
Are cut indiscriminately by a wood cutter
For his domestic use of fuel
Such is he an innocent cruel
Without knowing that some are herbs
Experts, out of them, make life- saving drugs
Once taking it as a worthless pebble
He threw a piece of diamond too
If he does no know the difference among them
What will a piece of diamond or a twig of herb can do?

Evaporating Days

My remaining days, Merely a shadow of those expended. It’s as if I’ve floated through time, Aping smoke, born of a match head, Drifting Indiscriminately, Chasing dreams, oft dwarfed by reality, Evaporating days, Auto-bused me to the stop at which I stand; I realize now, that life was truly a vapor, And beyond life, a timeless existence With God.

HUBERT REEVES

May we be blessed to understand
The words of Hubert Reeves…
a famous Canadian Astrophysicist…
allow me paraphrase what he believes:

We are a most insane species…
(he writes so beautifully)
we worships invisible gods
while destroying a nature we can see…

Unaware that the nature we’re destroying…
(so indiscriminately)
is the very God we’re worshiping…
the one we cannot see.

Poppies

Unimaginable beauty: I found myself walking alone far removed from humanity in a large meadow overgrown with kaleidoscopic poppies: oranges, blues, crimsons and yellows each indiscriminately commingled in this meadow like an incongruous painting; yet, in my eyes, a masterpiece: A polychromatic blending of hues quivering in the breeze as I stood amidst the allure of their stupefying grandeur.

Paradise

We thrust ourselves on you
Greedily grabbing, ungraciously groping
Clamorously clawing, indiscriminately defiling
Every vestige of your dignity.

We hurl ourselves at you
Rudely ravaging, rowdily rummaging
Perspiring and panting, lusty and lecherous
To possess you in your entirety

Yet, we feel no shame

For

Raping the world we live in.

For

Being the architects of a ghetto

That once was

Paradise.

Black and White Girlfriend

Her left side is very ivory white
Her right side is almost cobalt black
She has silky smooth metallic skin
I try to stay on her best side
What ever skin she is in

She is naturally bald
She has depth and width
Her length is not worth mentioning
I try to stay away from conversations
Regarding the planets we are visiting

One eye is green
One eye is purple
We travel together
Indiscriminately
Intergalactic-ally
In discriminating circles

Life

Sometimes, life will offer us a fork in the road.
At other times, just life with heavy loads.

Like time, life often proceeds indiscriminately.
All the choices are metaphorically evil, and

None participation is not an option.
We therefore proceed in our navigation.

We deal the cards we have been dealt.
We all would like to have health and wealth.

Whether realized or not, most of us are blessed
And experience pleasantries before our eternal rest.

Expanded Vocabulary

She said concretize
and her vocabulary
Typified my desire
for words
amorously.
Then I came
across boondoggle
and thought
hell no,
Not me
feed me every
word in your
dictionary
take me from
dilettante
to fait-accompli
Make me the greatest
of all time
if only in my mind
Her tongue
can use my mind
indiscriminately
to the point
of confessing
Ooo, I like that
and all manners
of Freudian slips
Her words
produce
bitten bottom lips
She is the ..it.

Death of a Sweet Gum

Death Of A Sweet Gum Miracle Man 3/14/2022 Leaves cascading as if indiscriminately lost, casualties of nature and multiple nights frost. Once a coat of many colors on our Sweet Gum Tree, they’ve quickly become just more yard debris. Leaving exposed, a tree with prickly brown balls, that will winter as ugly until the last one falls. This yearly problem no more sticks in my craw, my light bulb moment was my Stihl chain saw. Varoom, varoom, varoom.

The Tempest

Does the flash of the lightening disturb you
White light shining into your eye
Or the hammering of the thunder
Echoing throughout the sky

Light intensity and noise levels
Reach a cataclysmic peak
And driving rain in stair-rods
As we a glimpse do sneak

What will escape the tempest
And the tortuous howling gale
Blasted indiscriminately
Like a boat that’s lost it’s sail

All creatures they stay hidden
To let the storm past by
Secure in their hideaways
Hoping its end is nigh
