Leaving

slowly
imperceptibly
at first
a syllable
a vowel
a verb
slips away.

unnoticed
in the flush
of discovery

each submission
says goodbye

already you are gone....

High
35, 000 above ground
Severe thunderstorms
Imperceptibly conceal amongst
Infinite blue.
Airbus shakes
We both do,
I pray
Not out loud
Ask for another day
Forgiveness
Then Question Injections,
                   And
Why airplanes don’t
Have giant parachutes....

A photo captures a moment
                   then imperceptibly fades

A painting makes a deep impression
                   that dims in memory's mists

A poem engages her reader
                   altering perceptions
                           creating new networks...

Come
Believe me now
And you can lie forever
Come
Let my shoulder nest you head
And hear my thoughts
Imperceptibly light
Rap in the silence
Like a blind man
And let the ocean take
From our crossed legs
The sandals
That has seen this world
Because we leave for other
Where in the stone plates
Carved are eternal signs...

Premium Member Imperceptibly
Very gently...
You eased yourself out of my life
There was no drama
No cataclysmic event
To mark the passage
Just an imperceptible retreat
Like the slow ebb of a tide
You left behind
The dry sand of my heart
And one solitary figure…
Looking longingly at the sea
Wondering...wondering
How did your love
Ever get that far away
From me?

Premium Member Thankful For Our Home
May we be blessed to acknowledge all the wonders in our life
that have, for us, thus far accrued…
and to begin each day with a word of thanks…
and thoughts of gratitude.

Today I’m thankful for our house….
How over the years it has inherited our genes and chromosomes…
How gradually…
imperceptibly
it became part of our family
It became…
our home...

I'M Into Me a Secret Mine
I'm into me a secret mine, sentient treasure
walking on me, a pavement of thinking
maybe a knowledge or light

I learn every atom of inside with insight
sometimes imperceptibly I come out
and behave outside as the light of power
to prove and acquire the limitation of unlimited dream,
on base of perception or intuition
I compose a battle of biased argument
or shed the cosmic ignorant blood!

Exciting... inviting...
   Skywriting...
Anticipation's wing
   Horizon's swing

Eyes peeled on the Heavens
   Murky darkness imperceptibly
                    whitening...
Lighter, lighter
   Brighter, brighter

Streaks of brilliance appear
   Deepest red, fiery orange
      Delicate pink sherbet
Expectation's peaking
   Too vivid to curb it...

When at blinding speed, of a sudden
Here comes Life. ~ Here comes the Sun...

Relativity
A microscopic arachnid tinier than a poppy seed spins diminutive filaments barely visible to the eye; a spiral silk lacework deathtrap for infinitesimal prey strung high between white cornered walls in a microcosmical world. Is its existence more trifling than mine that occupies more space? Perhaps not, in the scheme of things: my universe among the stars is imperceptibly smaller than this occupants’ in my room.

Ash
She stood stoically fighting
the disease that crept through
her dry trunk
Sapping her life,
withering her leaves,
leaving her naked limbs
silhouetted against the
summer moon.

Her Roots retracting from the
moist soil
lose their grip on the earth
Until slowly, imperceptibly,
She leans
She falls

Lying in her lost leaves
her resting place accepts her
Embracing her death
with its life
Slowly, imperceptibly
She is subsumed
Until
Under a summer moon
A sapling grows...

Female Facial Facade
One need not know her life story to actually know this woman. Her character is quite clearly Sculptured into her youthful hewn Face: her flawless forehead and arched brows bridge atop two mirrored blue pools: Eyes that conceal lies that somehow besmirch her most precious jewels. Her celestial nose turned upward suggesting a pretentious snob; And her mouth: two full, pinkish-red, fleshy folds with a subtle sneer imperceptibly perceived concealing her feigned innocence.
