Streaks of Brilliance

Exciting... inviting...
   Skywriting...
Anticipation's wing
   Horizon's swing

Eyes peeled on the Heavens
   Murky darkness imperceptibly
                    whitening...
Lighter, lighter
   Brighter, brighter

Streaks of brilliance appear
   Deepest red, fiery orange
      Delicate pink sherbet
Expectation's peaking
   Too vivid to curb it...

When at blinding speed, of a sudden
Here comes Life. ~ Here comes the Sun

'Here comes the sun; its alright" - I love that song, and this poem - especially 'Horizon's swing' and 'delicate pink sherbet'.

Very, very sweet comments, Michelle---from a very, very sweet lady. Deeply appreciated, esp. as I really struggle to write poems like this one. Maybe someday they'll spill out of me, but for now it's work, work, work. Thanks again! :) gw

Well that's a definite "fav"; it's to well painted, not to be "fav'd". Lovely Gershon.
