gold buzzy fliers
working so hard dead of thirst
to sweeten our days
Written 20th May 2018 for World Bee Day
B = Be sweet as honey is what we are told
E = Every child as you buzz around so bold
E = Every adult no hiding in a hive as you get old
Flowers come alive,
buzzing big bee hive.
Color exploding,
weeds now unloading.
Spring is coming here,
all can give a cheer.
Fee Bee is the Queen of the Hive
With drones to make her feel alive
She eats royal jelly
To fill up her belly
So the Hive will survive and thrive
A Queen Bee who thinks sex is funny
Enjoyed making love like a bunny
But after some flack
She's flat on her back
Yet welcomes all comers with, "Honey!"
Shaken sudden the hive
Queen bee awaken
Bees to fly back
Sensing the threat
It’s true-
Bees to serve honey
But venom at last for survival!
Run, jump, scream, duck, dodge and leap
Try to stay on your running feet
Honey in the hive
The bees are alive
Run, jump, scream, don't fall and leap!
they're
cutting
down the
last big tree
on my street
unwittingly re
leasing a giant
honey bee as the
buzzing of chainsaws
sting my ears

Kissin’ ’n’ buzzin’
by Michael R. Burch
for Beth
Kissin’ ’n’ buzzin’
the bees rise
in a dizzy circle of two.
Oh, when I’m with you,
I feel like kissin’ ’n’ buzzin’ too.
Stirring the hornet's nest,
he came right underneath,
irritated hornets,
normally fly upwards,
this time,
they took a downward dive,
he was swollen and trite,
and resolved,
never to touch a hive.
protuberance hot
the sting of summersault sun
beet red swarm of bees

*summersault is an alternate spelling
Where bees fly away
Buzzing around the grill.
Hard to have a decent meal
Without summer breeze.
In a given space of land
Silence reigns in time.
In many places self notice
Fear of sting diminishes.
Buzz lost its hives.
Till when and how
While tearing down the old.
Extinct like hive of bee.
Erato leads the mind right into the zone
To look for the sweet nectar sought by the bee
As it fills its sacs with light, colour and tone
Heavy winged ,replete ,it returns to its tree
There its delicate imagery to hone
Ere it is ready to leave and be set free
It's in that moment a poem comes alive
Emerging fully developed from its hive
Chastened
by expectations.
Seasoned
by trial.
All journeys
begin
the same.
Roads diverge,
yet all
end
at
the same
destination.
Experiences vary,
stories differ.
But
the results
the same.
Progress
occurs
by the nectar
left behind.
In this way,
the hive
is built.
Spring's warming of the breeze
And the greening of the trees,
There's a settling in the hive
To the soft whispering of bees.
A burrowed beetle 'comes alive
To sate stomach's hunger drive,
While a newly structured nest
Assures us that the birds survive.
Yet there's no more time to rest.
Worker bees will start their quest,
While life settles in the hive,
Bees will bring back nectar's best.
Hear
Me now
The beehive
Mirrors our life
Their demise our doom
Together we survive
A joyful spring renaissance
Ancient waggle dance gives rise to
Rapturous hive awash in nectar
Wheel of life rotates~ balanced harmony.
The waggle dance informs the watching bees where a source of nectar can be found.

Bountiful Bee Hive Betty has her hive all ready.
There is honey to be made, all sweet and steady.
Buzzing around for attention is her beau, Wasp Eddie.
He is totally in love with the beautiful Bee Hive Betty.
Go away now, she tells him. The queen is near.
I will get back to you later, when it is convenient, Dear.
Wild Wasp Eddie gets on his motorcycle and zooms away.
Impatient beyond belief but returns the very next day.
I'm like Winnie the Pooh
Can't keep My hands out the hunny
Nah, I aine making jokes
Cause it sure aine funny
But, it gives A brother reason to smile
By keeping his days, All sunny
Especially, when they So hot
Until, it makes the nose runny
Got Me feeling like I'm rich
With a pocketful of money
What, you're asking if
I see Women, as a Playboy Bunny
No, it's just that they're like the bees
When making Love, Sweet as honey
Scantily clad resources
Free sources as electrons buzz
Manipulating matter, minds are gathered
Slave market shuffle
Clocks burning, thoughts melting
Hierarchy strapped monarchy pelting
An old story with a new foe
Cartels of smoke raising ladders
Shingles gather as houses splatter
Desires still lingering in the mist
Clamping shut the edgy verbal vocation
Car door sluts banging in a rut
Withered fingers splnter
Cancerous tongues among phantom lung
Air bubbles rise their own accord
