Chasm

Curled under my covers
Hiding the world from my senses
Angel’s comfort beyond my grasp
Seeking refuge
Minding darkness

A Hiding Place

In tidy closets ~
  Coats hang peacefully,
Quiet, Muffled happiness,
  Beside little shoeboxes,
The cosiest of spaces.

Mask On Or Not

Try to keep
my real self
from view
why do I assume
to take others
at face value
they could be hiding
something
too.

A night of no dreams
A morning of thick darkness
A peacock cries once
Trying to bring back the moon

Eyes of this
Bashful moon,
Staring at me,
Hiding behind

Beautiful Liar

Water fell from eyes
which held a face staring; me
Hiding will not pass

So I'll beautifully lie...

Breaths For the Seasons

Autumn leaves encase
A ground once caressed by heat
Tread carefully here
Beneath your feet animals
Are hiding from winter’s breath

Tear

poke
to spread love

bleed
to prove love

by hiding
to show love

doesn't harm all

but
do you see me?

Death

Dealing with hurt and pain.
Engulfed with emotion.
Asking “why me?”
Thinking you’re the reason.
Hiding the pain just to stay alive.
