A morning of thick darkness
A peacock cries once
Trying to bring back the moon
From wherever it's hiding

Nicely written Jim! There used to be a family of peahens that roamed around our neighborhood, and they would roost on our telephone pole down in front of our house. We would hear them sounding like they were calling "HELP HELP"! Funny creatures they are! ~Carrie
