in the valley of the moon...it drifts
light and white, a dense fog
waiting for closed eyes and unguarded thought
images impale cerebral hemispheres
whimsically it dallies, a shadow on dark walls
flashes of color play on the backdrop of dreams
while softly it whispers a lullaby

inky lits lurching
felon fits fostering
callous contractions cupping
Haggard how hankering
oily oceans assembling

nocturnal nature nimbling
fiery feelings seducing
airy allotment amputating

bounty pulses puncturing
severed seals smirking
damp dark dancing

multifarious means metamorphosing
all transcending tottering.

The two combine in essence: one wee speck.
The waters part twenty-six billion times;
the hemispheres each make their wondrous trek.
No single step erases who I am
when counting backward, save the first
and choices that you make along the way.

The inescapable black leviathan appears;
Crushing existential spheres of consciousness
Juices absorbed by cerebral hemispheres.

Troglodyte souls peer out
From cranial caves and shiver;
Without empirical illumination
Their hearts beat wild and quiver.

Unhinged swinging doors beckon to all
Offering true enlightenment for free.
Heaven or Hell served up cold or hot
Doth compel the blind to see....

scalps and war chests decorated
glamorous uniforms 
heaving with medals
speechless arithmetic 
spacious troops on the map

her mind severed in pain
corporeal numbness leaking
from a crashed skull bone
squirting brain matter
and lost hope

displaced she roamed the ruins
her only salvation that
shrapnel had formed
a lacuna of blood
where semblance of
left right and wrong
now withered in vain...

of the body, you are tormented with anger today 
from your spectacular misfortunes 
in the infinite stone 
you fight with yourself 
with mirrors that smile sarcastically 
you smile tenderly 
invent the mornings 
I must be a little above 
ignore the sheets 
you are overshadowing me in your fierce longing 
at night 
grow under my heart 
over the breasts that seem
from different hemispheres 
you reunite it-
