Wounded Wishes

Of broken wishes,
like twisted, cracked twigs once green,
we speak in whispers
hoping to graft them to limbs
gently taped, repaired, to bloom.

What explains Trumpenstein’s command
That the U.S. borders expand?
His withered small shaft
Needs a bigger graft
Of mastodon parts from Greenland

grifters and grafters,
hang like bats in the rafters,
feasting on the moths—
they charm while skimming their schemes,
build loophole ladders of graft

Independence Brawl

Abandon your party
stand up for what’s right
The partisan madness
a liar’s delight

Honor the founders
revolt and derail
The graft and corruption
— both factions entail

I Wish I Was a Brave Flower

I wish I was a brave flower
But I'm really very scared
They gonna pull my tooth out
My gum it will be teared.
Then I'll have a big hole-
Here I shake and cower
They gonna graft my mouth
I wish I was a flower.

Toxic Streams

In a fantasyland
of their own creation
politicians spawn
Spreading their eggs of division
and lies
among bottom feeding pawns

Propagating treason
corruption and graft
to freely flow downstream
Carrying our destiny
over the falls
— of shattered broken dreams

Premium Member The 1 Percent Solution

This country's wealth is owed to loans
A debit the public now owns
We're told there’s no cost
But old lifestyles are lost
Over war and pork barrel bones

The public’s frail pockets they pick
Politicians and banksters trick
And prime the nation
With graft and inflation
Thus making the middle class sick

Bereavement

Bestowed bereavement, this condolence graft,
the memorabilia sequence, mine not draft
like some ongoing virtue, depth not classed,
forever love relinquish at the pass
the merriment not, but laughing, seal to last,
joy to eternal hoping, prithee to cast
my soul, not rent with sorrow
seams with bast . . .

No Deal

You can’t make a deal
with a Judas
As tenured
they govern on high

Like the British
who sought our indenture
With graft and self-interest
they lie

You can’t play the game
any longer
When rules only favor
the few

Where freedom is held
as a hostage
And verity’s fairness
— askew

Siblings

the house was built without cement
the garden without soil to grow in
throw in the towel the family creed
and greed a concept out of reach.

survive or thrive
death counts no difference
claims them one by one

time marks the path of graft and hope
with no account of gain or loss
tossed into life a relative thing
and left to fight as they will.

Premium Member World We Live In

This evil world we live in,
is a wild rat race,
a people of global sin,
an earthly disgrace,

Killing here, stealing there,
Bloodshed and thievery everywhere,
global hatred, beyond repair,
Governmental graft, so unfair,

The chance of peace,
not in the air,
The causes of disease,
burns like a flare,

Never to appease,
only make aware,
all of these....
a global scare.

Before the dawning of this world age
My Father spoke, exchanging premise I was in Him needle to tread

In the grace, His space
A line define energies graft through the tunnel in womb needle to tread

I come, I came through too needle to tread, I bled
Awaken fully physically dead yet I live eternal needle to tread

Fame

Like a coconut shy
The pedestal an invitation
To find fault
Topple and pillory
Fame the modern obsession
Fifteen minutes in the sun
Now the goal
Not a deserved byproduct
Earned through hard graft
Or god-given talents
Just the limelight
For its own sake
The insane dogged pursuit
Of chasing the dragon
For its addictive temporary high
To find it bites you
And swallows you whole

“Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May.”
Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Waiting for the dentist’s assessment of my implant screw.
I watch Dogwood buds on dry branches rattle on the window pane.
Why did Shakespeare’s quote pop into my head right then?
while wondering if the bone graft grew,

‘every fair from fair sometime declines.’

O Let Us

O let us meet again to make it right
Bridge me your love to cross
The river flows a torrent tonight
We must restore what time has lost.

O let me try again to know your ways
Graft me upon your soul as light
Forgotten fruits unpicked decays
And blind bats suckle them with delight.

O let us sit together and share a day
The golden hours fade from sight
Words cannot like sawllows ever play
O let us meet again to make it right.

Moira's Whim

A fawn was ousted into light
At Moira’s playful whim;
Its mother’s keening birthed delight
Too rapturous to limn.

If Circe were to steer your craft
To her Olympian shore,
Into your hair the wind she’d graft
Your favor to restore.

Into that fawn you’d then be turned
To quell her jealous lust,
Which never has so brightly burned
Nor risen quite so fast.

Sequence

You always placed one before two

And dwelled in that logic

Over battlefields of dying dreams

Forgoing the charge of atmosphere

To make ion and scion attach in seams

Of your weaving, scheming plunder.

I now place two before one

And use my two eyes to discern your graft

To steer clear of your attraction

That would sequence to three

And thus count "out" and prelude the fall

Of my battle-torn, tender heart of wonder.
