awaiting the next iron worm
three piece sardines

in relentless pursuit of false promises...

Let the cackles
    of his wicked laugh
     echo
     off stone walls.

Let the Joker’s
riddles go unsolved.
He only thinks
he knows the answers.

Let the inhabitants
ponder their deeds.

Let the residents
see their lives
are one act plays

But streets of Gotham
are safe for now.

Although ill minds
make them do
what they do
